    Voice and Venue

by Sissy 3 on 5/8/22Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

What a pleasure to hear Allison Moorer and Shelby Lynne at the Bijou Theater in Knoxville. These girls voices are beautiful, really enjoyed seeing them at a small venue. I have been a fan of both for many years, since Shelby had Lie Myself to Sleep. And Allison is one of my very favorites, it was her music I turned to especially after the death of my husband. Is Heaven Good Enough for you….and A soft place to fall…. Thrilled to see them together!

    Birchmere is superior

    by G. T. on 4/30/22Birchmere - Alexandria

Outstanding table service with friendly hostess and food and drinks served were excellent. Only downside to the show was that the performers did not take an encore nor did they sign autographs. the sound system installed at the venue is far Superior to others in the area. Lighting was a tad overdone for photographs on the cellphone. Overall a wonderful night.

I've been a fan of Shelby and Allison Moorer for years. I never knew they were sisters. Great harmony and song selection. I'd go again.

    just incredible

by Seymour on 4/29/22Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

Shelby marches to her own drummer and she and Allison performing together create their own magic. They have always sounded particularly magical whenever they choose to sing with each other and tonight was no exception. The crowd that came out was a crowd of true fans for either or both of them and seemed appreciative of the efforts they each provided. The performers gave back to the audience in kind so this night was one of mutual sharing.

    Shelby Lynne...The real thing..a gift

    by MikeH22020 on 7/29/18Birchmere - Alexandria

One of the most enjoyable evenings of heartfelt, soulful music I have ever experienced.. It seems like music flows in stereo from Shelby's heart to her voice and eyes. She was in her usual fine voice and very engaging with the audience. Just Shelby and Ben Peele accompanying her on guitar. She did songs form I AM Shelby Lynne, along with other releases including a beautiful version of "Johnny Met June" As usual at the Birchmere, the sound was simply outstanding. After the show she signed autographs for a bit. picked up her new movie "I am Here" and the soundtrack to it on vinyl which she signed along with my SACD of "Just a Little Lovin". \I have been to hundreds of concerts but this is the first time I have ever asked for an autograph, mostly because "Just a Little Lovin" is simply a gorgeous recording and I was captivated by her performance.

    Shelby Lynne-Lugubrious

by Resard on 7/28/18Birchmere - Alexandria

Shelby has an awesome voice. Ben Peeler is a perfect sideman for her. But_ this was a self-indulgent show. Pacing was s-o s-l-o-w. Because of that, it was a poor performance. If you’re giving an acoustic show with you and a sideman, you’ve got to engage the audience with more than your “virtioso” talent. There was no connection. I’ve seen her multiple times; she’s much better than this.

    Shelby,an unsung hero of entertainment

by Sels on 7/28/18Birchmere - Alexandria

My first exposure to Shelby was her breakthrough album ,"I am Shelby Lynne" back in 1999. She unexpectedly performed several songs from this Grammy winning effort, accompanied by her first rate acoustic and steel guitarist. The entire set was mesmerizing, and the history of the Birchmere was all around,as if all the great artists were enjoying the show along with the audience. Delightful,Shelby. All the Best

Shelby Lynne & Allison Moorer Amazing!!!!!

by Sagep on 11/8/17Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

Seriously one of the best concerts ever- their voices, harmony with each other, and touching yet powerful songs are remarkable. I am obsessed after seeing them and desperately wanting to see them again. Only upset that we missed the first song because they started right on time.
