Shedd Aquarium Stingray Touch Experience Tickets

It was great to learn about the stingray, understand their nature & see their barbs, all of which have been removed that one would touch. Then being with my nieces & nephews and seeing their faces when they got to touch a stingray, they just lit up. And I felt like a kid too! Really smooth and gentle creatures that are quite loving the gentle petting and touching of human hands. I mean who doesn't love a back scratch! The only downside is that you may have to wait in line to get into this exhibit and there is no shade. So on a hot sunny day this could take a while, but the Shedd staff really tries to get people through and into the experience which is shaded under a tent.

It was very. difficult to get the hands of small child into the water close enough to feel a passing stingray.

Don't miss the sting rays- they are amazing. So gentle and friendly. We arrived at 10:00 am and for twenty- five minutes, there were ten people in the exhibit! So, arrive early. It is a don't miss event.
