    print your tickets

by Fishys on 5/19/11Shedd Aquarium - Chicago

It was nice not to have to wait in line, they didn't even scan or look at all my tickets, she just looked at the top one and that's it. we bought the general admission passes only. Paid extra buying on line, but it was worth it not to have to worry about how long the lines were going to be. If you pay the extra 1.75 to print them out yourself, you just go right in. If you get the free will call, then you have to wait in the will call line. So all in all, it was good, paid more for the tickets, but it was worth it not to wait in line.

    More jellies! Bigger jellies!

by ffranny on 5/9/11Shedd Aquarium - Chicago

My husband and I enjoyed our visit to the Aquarium, including the Jellies exhibit, but we do have some suggestions: While the Will Call line was much shorter than the line for people buying tickets at the door, there should have been more than one person at that station, and *definitely* more people selling same-day tickets! The Jellies exhibit was fascinating, but we would have liked to see more different kinds of jellies and some of the bigger ones.

    Excellent Exhibits, Beware the Lines

by Anonymous on 1/1/11Shedd Aquarium - Chicago

I made the mistake of choosing the "Will call" ticket feature, which I've used before at the Shedd. Bad decision. Thanks to the holidays, despite having purchased my tickets in advance, I had to wait in line for ~40 minutes just to pick them up. This was around 10:30am, and thank god it wasn't later, because by noon the regular ticket lines were at least 400 people long and the will call lines weren't much better. ALSO: BEWARE BUYING THE WRONG TICKETS. Originally I'd meant to purchase a ticket that allowed me to go to the other exhibits, but this ticket (I belatedly realized) will only allow you into the most general parts of the aquarium and does NOT allow re-entry.
