BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Boston native Shea Rose grew up writing; first as a poet, then as an intern for MTV, and eventually as a songwriter. She graduated with a degree in professional music from Berklee College of Music and released her first EP Rock 'N' Rose in 2010. That same year she was hand-picked by Queen Latifah for a CoverGirl campaign and was featured on Terri Lyne Carrington's Grammy-winning jazz album The Mosaic Project. In 2011 Rose released a mixtape called Little Warrior and was honored with the award for R&B/Soul/Urban Contemporary Artist of the Year at the Boston Music Awards. She has since earned a reputation as a captivating live act opening for stars including Macy Gray and Gladys Knight and performing as the Red Bull Soundstage featured artist at South by Southwest.  With her contagiously energetic performances and rapidly growing fanbase, Rose is earning a name for herself as an artist to watch.
