Golf Greats were Great
by PacodeCanada on 9/4/13Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club - CalgarySpent a wonderful day watching the finest 50 and over golfers in the world play at Canyon Meadows. The course was not a great challenge, apparently, as par took a beating. Still we could only marvel at the shotmaking ability of these legends and some not-so-famous golfers. Canada's Rod Spittle, hardly a household name, had a solid round putting him in contention. We spent most of our day by the 16th green, watching players challenge the tough pin from 192 yards away. Most hit the green but only a handful made the birdie putts. While a majority of the crowd followed Fred Couples on course, we were happy just to see familiar names and figures as they passed by our vantage point, with Nick Price sitting on a marshal's chair three feet away.
