About

Jamaican-American rapper and singer Shaggy exploded on the music scene in 2001 with the smash single "It Wasn't Me" off the multi-platinum selling album Hot Shot. The album also featured the single, "Angel," and helped launch Shaggy into international stardom where tickets for his live act were a hot draw, including memorable concerts with Natalie, Cyndi Lauper, Rupee and Fay-Ann Lyons. In addition to touring the world, Shaggy has also performed at several high-profile events, including the opening ceremony of the inaugural Champions League Twenty20 and the closing ceremony of the 2009 IPL tournament in South Africa. Following the release of a new album in 2013, it's expected that Shaggy will tour again with fellow musicians. Blessed with a unique, stylistic voice and featuring dancing and Jamaican influences in his act, Shaggy has sold hundreds of thousands of tickets. Shaggy collaborated with producing duo Sly and Robbie for the release of his latest album, "Out of Many, One Music." The album features several guest appearances, including Ne-Yo, Damian Marley, Beres Hammond, Konshens and Jimmy Cozier. "Out of Many, One Music" features the lead single, "Fight This Feeling," in addition to "Make Up" and "She Gives Me Love." Collectively, Shaggy has produced 12 studio albums over his 20-year career.

Shaggy was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and lived there until his family relocated to Brooklyn. He enlisted in the US Marines, but music was his true passion. While serving in the military, he gained inspiration for his first hit, "Boombastic." It wasn't until 2000, though, when Shaggy became an international sensation with the multi-platinum selling "Hot Shot." The singer/rapper has captivated audiences over a long and productive career and will continue to entertain select stages across the globe in 2014.

I've been to 4 of his concerts. He's one of the best performers ever! The bass player rocks it as well.

    Good Show

by Adriii on 11/20/23OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino - Niagara Falls

Shaggy is a talented artist. The show was good but not excellent. I love his music, he has a lot of good jokes but the show was only for 1 hour and 20 minutes long (he was also 20 minutes late). This show was the shortest concert I have ever been to. I wish he had some backup dancers to show/educate the crowd how his cultural people dance to reggae/dancehall. Great music but the show needs to be longer.

    Getto

Very disappointed about the venue. Would have been better and a bigger place IE: Rodgers or Shaw. Could have sang more and told less jokes

    The sound was horrible

    by Brodie on 7/16/23

We had to leave about halfway as the distortion in the expo centre was hurtful to our ears. Was the worst concert Ive ever been to!

Great artists, no seating like mentioned on ticket

    by Pregnant Mama on 7/16/23

At 6 months pregnant, I found it really difficult to enjoy the last bit of the concert without seating. On the tickets I purchased, it said "seats"but there was no seating. It was extremely difficult to see as well because it was all flat minus the VIP. In the future, seating should be given if that's what the tickets say and a better layout so that everyone, especially short ppl, can see the stage. We had to use our cameras on our phones a lot of the time to see. Maybe have screens up of the artists too so that we can at least see on those big screens.
