About

Atlanta’s Sevendust is a metal band that perfectly melds thrash, classic metal, southern rock and soul together into a beautifully balanced yet brutally heavy modern metal mix. The quintet of Morgan Rose (drums), Vince Hornsby (bass), guitarists John Connolly and Clint Lowery (who rejoined the band in 2008) and frontman Lajon Witherspoon, released their ninth studio album, "Black Out The Sun," in 2013. The album hit the Billboard 200 charts at No. 18 and the Top Hard Music Albums Chart at No. 1. Hailed as a return to where it all began, "Black Out The Sun" has been compared to "Animosity" (2001), one of their most popular albums and the third studio album they released after forming in 1994. It also produced Sevendust’s Top Ten single, "Decay," which continues to grace playlists across the globe.

Boasting driving drums, smooth yet deep bass, heavy and melodic guitars and sweeping vocal melodies, Sevendust is possibly best known for their brutally energetic live performances. Fan favorite, Lajon Witherspoon, captures the crowd's attention early and never let’s go. It is evident from his huge smile that he loves what he is doing, and fans leave Sevendust concerts feeling loved by the band. The diversity and genuine talent of Sevendust shines through their live performances, which often include acoustic versions of their songs. However, the intensity never wanes, and the pits are as aggressive as any that bands like Lamb of God or Hatebreed can produce. Sevendust fans will always vie for tickets whenever Sevendust comes to their city.

After finishing headlining the From Death to Destiny Tour, with Asking Alexandria, All That Remains, For Today and Emmure, Sevendust plan to begin recording their first studio acoustic album. Fans and critics alike clearly see that Sevendust is a band that has it all and never disappoints.

    . Outstanding as always

by Chris Geary on 10/25/23The Factory - St. Louis

Originally Sevendust was not one of my favorite bands, but after multiple times of them opening for the headliner I went to see and every single time putting on a better show they have earned the title best live hard rock band of all time. And this time was no different. If your a hard rock fan, your cheating yourself if you have never experienced Sevendust live. Thanks once again guys for an outstanding show, you never disappoint. See you next time around.

Great bands, not so much for the venue

by Turbohounds on 10/25/23The Factory - St. Louis

There were four photographers up front or on stage the whole time. Really excessive and detracting from the artists. Sound kept getting turned up until it was just vibration and poor quality. The bands deserve better. Won’t be going back to The Factory

The concert was amazing! Sevendust was magical on stage! Static-X, while I am not a major fan, put on a good live show.

    Absolutely phenomenal!!

Sevendust is the one and only for eternity! These dudes are the most badass, most amazing guys in the entire music business, they’ll never fail to disappoint both album wise, and live wise! They treat every single person at their shows like they’ve known them their entire life (even if they haven’t) and they make sure everybody’s safe the entire show (in the pit etc), my entire heart is forever dedicated to Sevendust, and nothing will ever change that! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Another Decade goes by and still Rocking!

    by 7D-4L on 12/30/22Madison Theater - Covington

Wow what a show. First of all, the first time I seen 7D was around 2003 in North Myrtle Beach at the House of Blues and was blown away by the riffs, bass, drums, and those undeniable raw vocals. Fast forward to today and its the same band as I remember. Only even better. How are they better, man in so many ways. They have matured and just kill it. Not many Hard Rock bands can still sound amazing after this many years of playing. If you like 7D you need to see them. The guys still throw down and the setlist was legendary. The only song I would have died to have heard would have been “The end is coming”. That song is just freaking Rock God status and way under appreciated. Maybe that could be the first encore song fellas. 😀Just plugging if you want some song selections. BTW- Thanks to 7D and WEBN for the openers. I got there when the first band was finishing and they were good. (Sorry, forgot their name, but wished we got their sooner we were hunting for parking). My buddy and I listened to the 2nd band ENMY and were just blown away. Never heard of these guys in my life but they freaking rocked hard and have been enjoying listening to their music since the concert. We are a bunch of North Dayton guys so if WEBN plays you all a lot we dont get the signal. Finally, thanks to all you guys for the music. With all that has gone on in the world the last three years it was nice to get out and just enjoy some good old hard rock. It was also great seeing guys and ladies bring some family along to pass the torch. I heard a few young guys say to their dad on the way out, “Dad, that was an awesome show, those guys rocked”. Continued success in 2023!

    NONPOINT of DESTRUCTION

by LUCIVI6SIX on 10/9/22Fillmore New Orleans - New Orleans

What an amazing show to close out the last date on the tour!! Every band showed up and showed out!! But this was my ninth time seeing Nonpoint and fourth seeing them together with Sevendust!! I love both bands, but Nonpoint never disappoints and always demolish the house and steals the show!! And please don't think that I'm haten on Sevendust by any means, because I'm not?!! They are always awesome live!! But just like their song, NONPOINT brings it like CHAOS & EARTHQUAKES!!
