    Ehh...

    by Nicnac13 on 10/31/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

So, I went to sensation last year and it was absolutely phenomenal. The crowd was great, ambiance, light show, stage set up, and everything was amazing. This year, I was not impressed at all. The crowd on the floor had no energy. They closed floor access way too early. I was also not intrigued by the stage like I was last year. Last year there was more than one coat check. This year there was only one area for coat check and I was very dissatisfied with it. It was very unorganized. Also, I left the show a good hour before the show ended so I can take my coat back to my seat to catch the rest of the show. I got my coat and they were forcing people to leave the arena straight from getting their coats. I was furious because I was going to miss the end of the show. Also, I went to coat check without my friends and phone was dead, so I did not want to leave them wondering where I was. The whole thing was just a mess. I heard a lot of complaints. They also made my friend turn her dress inside out. Her dress was all white with SOME light silver leopard spots on it. MEANWHILE, I saw guys getting in wearing plaid shorts. Also saw one guy with brown kakhi shorts with a blue button down.. America, don't ruin this event like everything else.

    No Seats for VIP

by Lovenharmony on 10/30/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Never went to a Sensation event, but I was expecting that if I purchased a VIP ticket, that I'd be able to get a seat so I could relax while experiencing the show. Yeah, I was expecting an actual SHOW, not a RAVE PARTY! From the Sensation videos, it was making it seem like there would be an actual show with people performing, lazers, pyrotechnics, animatronics etc. to view and enjoy the music. Not only did I not have a seat, but VIP ticket holders had to wait in another line in order to enter the arena, while lower paying ticket holders went straight in! I would think VIP ticket holders would get in before all other ticket holders. Also, security was pretty lax...I didn't even show them my ticket when I was in line for the VIP area! They just shuffled us along, telling us to go all the way down to the floor where there were no seats available. Even after I left, I saw many VIP ticket holders waiting to get inside, pretty much missing the show and the music! If for security resons, they only let a certain amount of people on the floor at a time, then they should only sell a certain amount of VIP tickets that would be safe for people to access, then stop selling the VIP tickets! I thought VIP is supposed to be exclusive? It should be for pretty much a Rave party that cost over 250 dollars! I just see this Sensation event it as trying to get as much money out of people for a Rave party that I could've went to in any NYC underground spot for less than 20 bucks! I guarantee regular rave parties wouldn't be selling 5 dollar water and you could have as many free glow sticks as you want! They also need to up the security for contriband....the smell of weed was astronomical!! I don't smoke at all and I felt myself getting high off the fumes! All of this with the hour and a half wait for the actual show to begin left me with a headache, so I left early. I say it's a waste of time to go VIP to one of these Sensation events, unless you're fine with spending few hundred dollars to be hit on by drunk losers, get high for free off of second hand smoke, be squised in-between strange people and don't mind standing for 8 hours or so. Go to your local underground rave party instead. You'll save tons of money...enough to buy a whole bunch of weed, ex, molly. bath salts or whatever ravers partake in these days.

    Meh

by pegbundy on 10/29/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

The event was well produced, great venue, great production. However, I generally did not enjoy the event because the music wasn't my taste. I like house, but less trance, less electronica, more bass. Overall, the event itself was fine, but don't expect for you to hear hard house at this event. It's definitely more chill.

more agresive dj's next time please

by Kire on 10/29/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

yes i would recommend this event to a friend ...but i dont know why dont u understand one thing ....Mr White is good for opening ....but for closing that EVENT u need a Dj who will bring out all that people have on that dance floor ....that means little more stronger beat ...little more agresive then what we had over there ....so we can enjoy and dance in same time more then we did ....my opinion ...

    Bad organization

by BigJimm on 10/29/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

The music was great but the organization sucked, one of the tickets I purchased was cloned and everything was insanely overpriced.

Everything was great: ambiance, decorations, music, light effects, pyrotechnics, etc. All people dressed in white added a certain charm to this in addition to everything already listed above. Fedde le Grand was great, I thought Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano were awesome. Mr. White and Nick (the first two DJs) were very good too, although their beat is not exactly my favorite.
