SCOTTY ATL IN CONCERT:
 
Ever since breaking out in 2011 with his critically acclaimed debut mixtape Summer Dreams, Atlanta-based emcee Scotty ATL has been slaying the rap game with his rapid-fire rhymes, easy-going swagger, and wild n’ out live shows. Scotty earned his cred hustling on the streets, and even though he’s left the street life behind, his rags-to-riches raps always resonate with fans for their authentic portrayal of the struggle. At his shows Scotty does his hometown of Hotlanta proud, spitting pure fire while he bounces around to fresh-to-death cuts like “Cloud IX (Go Up)” and “Bust it Open”. All his tracks are unquestionably fly (critics have lauded the consistent quality of his output), but “Nun But a Party” is always a highlight at his live shows as Scotty high fives audience members and shouts “Let’s Party”—an invitation ticket buyers are more than happy to take him up on.
 
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
 
Scotty ATL was raised on a steady diet of rap legends like 2Pac (his mom was a huge fan) and started making his own music in 7th grade after setting up a recording studio in the family basement. After a brief stint at Savannah State University on a basketball scholarship, Scotty dropped out and returned to Atlanta, immersing himself in the city’s hip hop culture. His debut mixtape, 2011’s Summer Dreams, impressed critics and generated significant buzz thanks to popular underground single “Husslin”. His come up continued with a string of well-received mixtapes including 2013’s F.A.I.T.H. (Forever Atlanta in the Heart) and 2014’s OTR2SJ, and in 2015 he signed to rapper B.o.B’s label No Genre. The pair impressed fans and critics alike in early 2016 with the joint mixtape Live & Direct, a stellar release that has fans hoping Scotty drops his solo debut album soon.
