About

With her captivating voice and richly detailed songwriting, Sarah Jarosz has emerged as one of the most compelling musicians of her generation. A four-time Grammy Award-winner and ten-time nominee at the age of 30, the Texas native started singing as a young girl and became an accomplished multi-instrumentalist by her early teens. After releasing her full-length debut Song Up in Her Head at 18-years-old, she went on to deliver such critically lauded albums as Follow Me Down, Build Me Up From Bones, and Undercurrent, in addition to joining forces with Sara Watkins and Aoife ODonovan to form the acclaimed folk trio Im With Her.

    Great Show

by lthoppy on 3/11/24Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

Sarah's opening act, Liz Longley was good too! Sarah played new music and a few of her older songs. I love the Bijou! It is a unique venue! The icing on the cake was that our very own, Daniel Kimbro played the bass. Sarah has a rich sound. Her genre is folk, roots, Americana and country. Excellent singer-songwriter! Very talented! I never itre of listening to her sing!

    Sonic Perfection!

by wayne on 3/11/24Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

Sarah and the band BROUGHT IT to Knoxville - what a FANTASTIC show! Second time seeing Sarah and her band - quickly remembered why I jumped on pre-sale when I heard that she was touring again...bought 2 extras and took some friends that had never listened to her music before that night...they were BLOWN AWAY! Band was great and the Bijou is such a gem of a theatre - some of my favorite concerts over the years were there (Wallflowers many years ago and The Replacements way waaaaay back!). Will definitely be buying tix next time she is near...betting she jumps to the TN Theatre next time around as Bijou was packed to the gills. Thank you Sarah & band for a wonderful date night!

    What a Talent!

Sarah's concert was wonderful. I think her Polaroid Lovers project is her best to date, and that is saying a lot. A prolific songwriter and incredible performer.

    Avoid The Depot

by sound on 2/28/24The Depot - Salt Lake City

It will cost you 40 a ticket if you want to sit down. Even before the show. I paid 20 and got a narrow swath to stand in where you can barely see anyway. Sound is mediocre. Floor level is best if you don't mind the deep fryer smell. Eat drink and be merry somewhere else and just stand on floor level if you really want to see something there.

Sarah is Amazing, Venue is not.

by Banjogrll on 2/28/24The Depot - Salt Lake City

I have been to dozens of shows at the Depot since it became a venue, most are standing room only events with lively music in which one expects to stand and/or dance the entire show. Sarah Jarosz is not one of these types of shows. Her music is amazingly beautiful and serene with some high points that will definitely make you want to move your body. Standing on a concrete floor for 3.5 to 4 hours with not even a SINGLE chair available to anyone who doesn't want to pay and extra $40 or MORE to sit on a barstool or have access to limited seating upstairs is absolutely torture to someone in her near-senior years. Perhaps the venue didn't understand the nature of the music? That many of her fans aren't in their 20's and 30's?? Perhaps the person booking the tour didn't know the venue and how difficult it would be for Sarah's fans to have to stand the entire opening act and her show? A seated venue would have been much more pleasurable. I suggest Kingsbury Hall, the State Room or the Commonwealth next time...I recently saw Bela Fleck at the Commonwealth and they provided reserved seating for everyone. It was a great show. Just saying...you could do it at the Depot too...

Great music but need some chairs

by Spokanefan on 2/26/24Knitting Factory - Spokane - Spokane

Loved the music. The venue was an intimate size. We felt close to the performers however the crowd would have liked some more comfortable seating. The stools were nice for about 6 songs. Standing up was more comfortable by the end of the concert.

    great concert-bad venue

by Charlie on 2/26/24Knitting Factory - Spokane - Spokane

Sarah Jarosz was great as expected ! I would have rather seen her at The Fox or The Bing though. The Nit is the worst place for a concert. That said I will go anywhere to see Sarah Jarosz. She is always great. One of the best concerts ever !!
