Legendary British soprano Sarah Brightman continues to dazzle audiences with her angelic voice more than 30 years after her debut. From her days as Andrew Lloyd Weber's muse on Broadway to her decorated recording career, Brightman has remained a ubiquitous cultural force beloved by fans around the world for her elegant voice and timeless grace. Born in the historic English town of Berkhamstead, Brightman began taking dance and piano lessons at age three before going on to attend several prestigious performing arts schools. After making her theater debut at age 13 she was recruited to lead the disco group Hot Gossip, which scored a hit on the UK charts in 1978 with "I Lost My Heart to a Starship Trooper". In the early '80s she became a veritable superstar of the theater, appearing first in Cats and then starring in several Andrew Lloyd Weber productions including The Phantom of the Opera. In the '90s Brightman refocused on her recording career, releasing a string of successful albums before topping charts around the world with "Time to Say Goodbye," her record-breaking duet with Andrea Bocelli. A venerated performer with more than four decades of experience on the stage, Brightman will continue to shine on her latest world tour.
