San Francisco Giants History
The San Francisco Giants moved from New York City to the Bay Area in 1958. Prior to their relocation, the Giants had already claimed five of their eight total World Series titles between 1905 and 1954, but it wasn’t until 2010 that the team could celebrate a championship in California. After winning the National League West division title and NL Pennant, the Giants advanced to a World Series victory in 2010. The team won again in 2012 and 2014. Overall, the Giants have won 23 NL Pennants and nine NL West division titles.
The Giants, dating back to their New York roots, hold one of the most distinguished legacies in baseball. Hall of Fame players include Willie Mays, Buck Ewing, Monte Irvin, Jim O’Rourke and Willie McCovey. In the modern era, the Giants have fielded NL MVPs such as seven-time winner Barry Bonds, second baseman Jeff Kent and catcher Buster Posey.

San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park
Oracle Park offers beautiful views overlooking San Francisco Bay's McCovey Cove, with different vantage points of the horizon in upper and lower levels alike. The waterfront park sits in the city's South Beach neighborhood of the South of Market (SoMa) district. Within the confines of Oracle Park, a giant old-fashioned baseball glove and an 80-foot slide shaped like a Coca-Cola bottle tower above left field, while just beyond the famed triples alley wall in right center field, kayakers post up in the Cove hoping to fish out any home run balls that splash into the bay.
