by BigChiefPiz on 2/27/13San Diego Civic Theater - San DiegoThis was my first Opera and I was a little worried that the actor's voices would not be up to par as I was catching the last show. I was blown away! Samson and Delilah is a very familiar story and the 4 acts capture that high points of the story very well. The actor's voices were amazing, the orchestra was awesome, and the sets were tremedous. The second act was the highlight for me. I was completely drawn in. The finale, when Samson pulled down the pillars, was incredible. I left the theater completely satisfied.
