salzburg marionette theatre ring cycle was bad

by louiser on 12/2/13Curtis M Phillips Center for Performing Arts - Gainesville

This was the worst play I have ever seen..it was a waste of my $161!!! We left at half time because the people we were with, who were all professionals, just said we are leaving and we are not coming back. So, we all left. It was so bad I thought this could not be for real. It was low budget, in another language and we could not read the captions from where we were seated. Thankful the 41/2 yr old was sick and could not attend..this would never have entertained her..where did I get the idea anyway. Wish I could get my $ back.

    For young at heart

by MCFGV on 11/29/13Curtis M Phillips Center for Performing Arts - Gainesville

Charming! Not only the well known opera but especially the reason why I went to see this performance: the marionettes. Stunning their making and masterly moved. It was a delight all together.

    fun family-friendly event

This was a great show! Just know that a lot of the show was in German, which was unexpected (at least for me!). We were still able to follow the plot line, just couldn't understand what was being said for a majority of the show.
