SAINTSENECA IN CONCERT:
Saintseneca distill a heady brew of forward-thinking folk that integrates graceful songwriting, catchy hooks, and classical composition. Singers Zac Little and Maryn Jones intertwine their country-tinged voices to create heartbreaking harmonies as they deliver beautiful and bittersweet ballads in concert. The whole band takes turns playing guitars, synthesizers, mandolins, dulcimers, and drums, and the result is an incredibly diverse sonic palette that lends itself to both acoustic gems like “Fed Up with Hunger” and rollicking indie pop singles like “Happy Alone”. Ticket buyers will be stomping their feet along with the band as they bring their downhome vibe to cities across the US on their 2015 tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Buckeye bluegrass-folk connoisseur and Saintseneca mastermind Zac Little grew up on the Appalachian outskirts of Noble County, Ohio. He relocated to Columbus to attend Ohio State University, where he learned to play nearly a dozen instruments. While in school he formed the earliest incarnation of Saintseneca in 2007 with multi-instrumentalists Steva Jacobs, Luke Smith, and Grace Chang. The group toured throughout the Midwest and East Coast on their way to releasing their 2009 self-titled EP. The original lineup agreed to amicably dissolve following the 2011 release of their debut full-length Last, but Little reformed Saintseneca in 2013 after reaching out to veteran talents Maryn Jones (dulcimer/bass/keys), Steve Ciolek (guitar), Jon Meador (bass/cello/percussion), and Matt O’Conke (drums). The refreshed roster released their sophomore album Dark Arc in 2014 before embarking on a national tour, where they continued to entertain audiences with their poised and progressive-leaning interpretations of folk traditions.

Nuff said. Saintseneca always brings it. A bit of light in a dark world. All you’ve got is everyone.
The band was enjoying the audience much as the audience was enjoying Saintseneca. There was a wonderful energy at this show, and the place was packed! This is my first time seeing this band live, and when they're in the area again, I will definitely be going to see them.
