Directions

Main entrance is just off Oakland Avenue, one-half block west of Kingshighway. From Highway 40/I-64, exit south on Kingshighway (exit 36A), then immediately turn right on Oakland and follow for one-half block. From I-44, take exit 286 north, traveling on Hampton Ave. for almost one mile. Turn right at the stoplight onto Oakland and follow for approximately one mile. Science Center is almost one-half block past Macklind.

The Planetarium entrance is in the Southeast corner of Forest Park. From I-44 and from Highway 40/I-64, exit north on Hampton Ave. Turn right on Clayton Avenue into Forest Park and follow the Planetarium signs for one-half mile. The Planetarium building will be visible on your right.

Parking

The parking lot behind the Science Center charges $9 per vehicle, for the entire day. Street parking is also available.

Types of Payment Accepted

Science Center box office accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, personal and traveler's checks and cash.

Will Call

Paid will call is available at the main Science Center entrance at the Information Desk. Patrons must present actual credit card, order number, and a valid photo ID.

Accessible Seating

The Science Center is wheelchair accessible and wheelchairs are available at the Guest Services desk in the main lobby as well as the ticket desk in the planetarium. The Omnimax is open-captioned with the Rear Window system. Patrons can request a reflector at the Omnimax Theater. We offer assistive listening devices and TDD/TTY machines. Sign interpereters are available with advance notification. Guests requiring special accomodations are invited to call 314-289-4484.

General Rules

Cameras are welcome at the Science Center, but are NOT permitted in the Omnimax Theater or in special exhibits.

Children Rules

Children under 3 years of age receive free admittance to the Science Center.
