Rising electropop sensation Ryn Weaver has made a name for herself with her sultry voice, stylish image, and spellbinding live shows. The singer-songwriter’s 2014 debut single “OctaHate” sparked an internet gush-fest , with stars ranging from Charli XCX to Jessie Ware taking to Twitter to hail Weaver’s powerful vocals and triumphant sound. From her spot-on personal style to her dynamic pipes, Weaver is most certainly one to watch.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

San Diego-born Ryn Weaver, aka Aryn Wuthrich, grew up enjoying the sunny weather and laid-back beach culture of Southern California. After high school she moved to New York to attend NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied acting while making home-recorded vocal compositions in her spare time. In 2010 she met powerhouse producer Benny Blanco and played him her music, and Blanco quickly signed her to his label. She dropped out of school and moved back to Los Angeles to focus on her music career, and in 2014 she made her debut with the song “OctaHate”. The single was an overnight sensation, racking up more than 1 million plays on Soundcloud in less than two weeks and earning praise on Twitter from artists like Paramore’s Hayley Williams. Her debut EP Promises followed several months later, and in late 2014 she embarked on her first tour as an opener for Swedish pop ingénue Lykke Li. Since then Weaver has cemented her status as a rising star, treating ticket buyers around the country to stellar performances that showcase her dynamic vocal abilities and effortless style.

This is the second time seeing Ryn Weaver and she did not disappoint. She's an amazing performer with gorgeous pipes. Awesome energy. I was dancing the entire time, except for Traveling Song which is emotional AF

    Ryn

by hoodxcx on 12/1/15The Foundry - Philadelphia

The foundry is really well set up and no matter where you are the sound is awesome and you have a pretty good view of the stage. It is A LOT smaller than the main stage at the venue but still keeps the same type of atmosphere. The staff was incredibly helpful and courteous to my friends and I. On my way to the venue I ended up falling and cut myself up pretty bad... once I got to the venue the staff was super attentive and helped me clean myself up and get myself together and I even ended up getting front row due to this mishap. This was my third time at the Fillmore since it opened and each experience has been better than the next!!

    Great singer. Tween audience

    by Nickname189eue94 on 11/25/15The Foundry - Philadelphia

I actually went to this concert to see ASTR which was great and they had a lot of energy. Ryn Weaver also didnt disappoint since she had a great voice. Unfortunately at 28 years old I felt a little too old for the audience in Philadelphia where the average age was offset only by the parents there to watch their kids. Overall great concert I just think I'll stick to 21+ nights from now on. Also, I rated it 4 out of 5 because that's a good/honest rating for the concert. The audience age doesnt impact my rating however I thought it was good info to give out.

All of the performances were awesome, and everyone had so much energy. The venue was also a perfect setting to enjoy this kind of music.

One of the best shows I've been too

by Zelink on 11/16/15Newport Music Hall - Columbus

Performances by all three artists were absolutely incredible, but Ryn blew me away. I had seen her once before, but this show was even more amazing because I new her songs this time around.

    A bit drunk...

by SDJL on 11/16/15House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

I went to Ryn at the Irenic earlier this year and instantly fell in love with her music and show. When I saw that she was coming to the House of Blues, I bought tickets right away. The venue was much too large for her sound and she was definitely drunk or on something. Between songs she was slurring her words and my friends and I were not impressed. Her music was still really good, but the show wasn't nearly as good as her last show because of the alcohol she had on her tour bus beforehand. I'll go again, but if she pulls this one more time I'm done with her shows. ASTR was really fun and was my favorite part of the show.

    Surprisingly even better live

by CimmyJo on 11/16/15Newport Music Hall - Columbus

If you love Ryn Weaver, you'll love her even more live. She has such a great stage presence, she is super down to earth, very relatable, and adorable. She really appreciates her audience and even noticed people that she has talked with on Twitter; I thought that was really cool and personal. She is such a sweetheart and I'd go again in a heartbeat. The only downside was that, for whatever reason, the concert was supposed to start at 7:00p and (even with only two openers) she didn't come on stage until 10:30p.

    Brilliant Show

by Sanderson2456 on 11/16/15Newport Music Hall - Columbus

Ryn Weaver may be new to the scene, but she sure knows how to put on a show. She has such a stage presence and she gave an honest performance. She's truly something special and it will be great to see her continue to grow over the next few years.

Ryn Weaver & her misfit toys were a success

by Anonymous on 11/11/15Mezzanine - San Francisco

Loved the concert and watching the opening artists HOLYCHLD and ASTR, everyone had a great stage presence and I liked the Mezzanine venue, there was a lot of opportunities to stand all the way in front of the stage without feeling crammed.
