    Don't judge by their hits

by jimmity on 11/22/16STAGE AE - Pittsburgh

Be familiar with their catalog before going. Most of their music sounds nothing like their hit singles. They were presented a plaque by the mayor for their diverse, culturally inspired music during the show.

Rusted Root & Devon Allman...so in love!

by Mutzke on 11/18/16Cabooze - Minneapolis

Devon Allman opened for Rusted Root and show was awesome. One of the best I have been to in a long time!! I hope they come back for a second round! Saw Rusted Root last when I was 18 and 17 years later they sound even better. Venue was perfect, sound was perfect. So great!

    Great Venue for Great Artists

by TGchuckie on 11/18/16Cabooze - Minneapolis

From the opening band (which was awesome by the way) to the final song---a classic (Send me on my way)---this was a great show. Brought my finance with and her review---There is no band out there that has their sound; totally unique and fun to listen to and watch. She pretty much nailed it.

    Rusted Root Rocked as Usual

by Anonymous on 11/2/16B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

This is my 4th time seeing Rusted Root. They were on top of their game playing one great song after another. They sounded great, interacted with the crowd and had a varied set list with one song seamlessly flowing into another. Great Band - Great Show!

Good show, but now enough Devom

by Phiddle on 10/25/16Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

The evening was fun! This venue is always intimate. My only gripe is the short time for Devon Allman's band. They were so hot, and all of a sudden they were gone. I'll be sure to see him again!!

    It couldn't get any better...

by ChrittyJ on 10/25/16Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

Amazing show. Wonderful location at Ponte Vedra. Small venue. Great acoustics. Nice crowd (except for one crazy woman...there is always one). Love, love, love!

Big rusted root fan but very disappointed

by JacksonianInstitute on 10/25/16Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

Went in with high expectations having seen them in the 90s. Was clear from the beginning that this was just another gig for them. Unenthusiastic, all the songs seem to be down beat from originals, even crowd was thinning out by the fifth or six song. Noticed immediately that you couldn't even hear lead vocals, went to look back at soundman and he was dozing off not even paying attention. Bummer because they were so energetic and fun to watch back in the 90s. Was really hopeful they still had that special something. Would not recommend seeing them.

I have seen root over 25 times over 20+ years and unfortunately since they parted ways with the last drummer Preach a couple years ago they have really went downhill. Just don't have the same energy they used to. Overall the show was ok bUT definitely not great. It was the opening night of the tour so that might of had something to do with their performance. Devon Allman though put on a good show with great energy. He played some originals, some old covers and some Allman brothers...

    r u kidding me ?

by cantname on 8/27/16The Paramount - Huntington

a unanounced 3rd(1st act) - thank Paramount for letting us know.. Couldn't tell u the name because the sound system was so muddled.. So Toad starts around 9 something and the sound is a bit better ( a miracle of acoustics since the sound guy left for the entire set). RR hits the stage @ 10:30 and basically mails it in for 1:15 before a single encore. I say mailed it in because they played about a dozen songs all night of which 2 were covers from other artists. For those who think i'm just some old music crab I've been in the music world for 40 yrs and have followed both bands for about 20.. Toad did the best they could with what they had to work with - RR and the venue did not.
