Rippingtons rule!

Have watched these guys for years at The Birchmere and Friday night they were just all on fire! It was just excellent to see them at the top of their game. Jeff is the new focal point as Russ is starting to get a wee bit tired.
Excellent show.....entertaining from beginning to end. Friend who attended with me is a serious jazz fan--he thought the show was incredible. Highly recommended for an evening of great sounds, high energy, and superior musical performances.
Awesome as always!! Probably the best song lineup I've ever heard them play!!
This has to be at least the 15th time we have seen the Rippingtons over the years. What a great evening! Introduced our 16 year old nephew, I think the youngest in the crowd, to the band after the concert. He was impressed and as a fledgling guitarist, enjoyed Russ Freeman's guitara licks. A nice mix of the old and new tunes, too. So nice that they take the time to meet with their fans after the concert. I'll keep attending as long as they keep performing!
Studio quality sound and not a bad seat in the house. Would see the Rippingtons again in a heartbeat and am now a fan of the Birchmere!
I have been listening to the Rippingtons and going to their concerts for 20 years. They never disappoint. Great show!! Come back to the Birchmere soon.
Excellent concert, but far too short!!! They only played for an hour and a half!!!
Overall, the concert was great. The best part was when Russ Freeman and Jeff Kashiwa were playing together. Jeff really adds another dimension to their performance. I was slightly disappointed, however, that they did not play more of their older songs. They should have done that during the encore instead of Jimi Hendrix songs.
It was a good concvert and the level of musicianship was very high. They seem like a great group of guys. The only reason I rated it is average was that the sound man killed the bass player. Everyone else was on the level, but the bass was porrly mixed. The bass player's sound was pounding (nice), but SEVERLY lacked the treble/attack, so it was hard to hear any separation between the notes. It was not distorted, just muddy. This was a shame because the bass player was tearing it up. They all stayed around to sign CD's and Jeff Kashiwa was "off the chain".
