    Madcap Puppets were amazing!

by thatch12708 on 10/23/12Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

I was a little skeptical about how good this play would be when I first saw it advertised but I was SO incredibly pleased with the show. I have even gone onto their website and have been making plans to travel to Cincinnati to see more shows by this company because I was so pleased with this show.

    Rumpelstiltskin was charming!

by suburbanmama on 11/23/09Winningstad Theatre - Portland

The play/puppet show was so fun. My daughter LOVES the story and was thrilled to see it "in real life". The talent made it worth the time and money for sure. I would definitely recommend going.

    Rumplestiltskin was Remarkable

by Dribbler on 11/22/09Winningstad Theatre - Portland

The Rumplestiltskin puppet show was one for all ages. I came with children ages 6, 9, and 13; all of them were mesmerized from the opening comments. There were much younger children in the audience who were also quiet and immersed from the beginning. Personally, I loved the slight German accent, though it made it a little more difficult for the younger children. The puppeteers were accomplished and put on a grand show. The volunteers in the lobby helping children make small puppets were personable and helpful. And every person involved in the production was there with a ready smile. The audience broke into spontaneous applause when the Queen was able to guess the mannekin's name. A true sign that they were totally drawn in by the performance.

    Magic of makebelieve

by aquakat on 11/14/09Winningstad Theatre - Portland

I took two children with me and they both adored it. The puppeteers had great voices for each character and a couple cute songs. They did a great job of capturing the magic of the story for the kids and it was the perfect length of time for their attention span. Great show, will take them to other Tears of Joy shows
