Great musician. Intimate setting @ Sugars. Loved it!
I will always share my experience with all of my friends about Mr Ronnie Laws. The people were super friendly and they all showed their love for his music. It was a great night for my wife and I who was celebrating her birthday and we will certainly be back again to the fabulous Sugars Cajun’s Cruise. Great night. Great night.
Ronnie Laws performed a great show. His class and showmanship was spot on and the music was incredible. I can't wait until he performs again here in Houston!!
I listen to Ronnie Laws in the late seventies and early eighties. It was great music, smooth, rhythmic, and sometimes a little funky. Then when you listened a lot over time, some of newness and excitement wears off. Attending his show was a revival, bringing back the excitement and realizing how great his music was and is.
Ronnie Laws’ did not disappoint. So good that I wish he had performed longer.
And they performed Friends and Strangers! #myfave Ronnie also gave out a cd of his latest single, “Settle Down.” It’s a MUST SEE show!
Only fifteen minutes of Mr .Ronnie Laws !!!Not Enough ! !!
Saturday my husband and I attended the Ronnie Law/Tom Browne concert at the Carver in San Antonio. One thing is that there is not a bad seat in this theater. We have attended numerous events here and have always been in our seats before the show started. Due to numerous circumstances, we were about 30 mins late to the concert. The second we walked in the venue, you could feel the vibe of music that was hopping and popping. When I tell you we are so sorry that we were late. The energy in the room and from the artist was explosive. I would highly recommend this concert to anyone...what a team...and to see musicians (local) that I knew on stage made it even more special. Keep 'em coming!!
The concert lasted 1 hour maybe. It was over before it started. They did come back out and sing another song. Funkin for Jamaica was sung but Tom Browne did not sing it - he started off with the intro and then some woman sang the rest - she was fair but not by a long shot could compare to Tom Browne. Don't know why he did not sing it.
