Show seemed a bit slow. Not used to that from Ronnie. He seems to have slowed everything down. Didn't come out in the audience, didn't play loud. Just wasn't his old self

    Ronnie is the Man

by BowlerGirlH on 2/24/14B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Ronnie is an extremely talented musician and I enjoyed the show, however I liked his albums better than hearing him live. Typically I prefer live music to albums...

Ronnie Earl the best Blues Guitarist on the Planet

by VinnyBC on 2/24/14B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Ronnie was in great form playing with his band and some house guests in the last half hour of the show. No complaints other than the random violist who showed up very out of place in the last 15 minutes. Ronnie is the master of tone and his guitar was in as fine a form as ever. He is relaxed to be in his native hometown and starting the show with Mona, and playing Miracle, He really Stretched out his soft tones and melodic solo's beautifully. At 2 1/2 hours of music with little chatter he is an absolute joy to watch. I could not get the smile off of my face for the entire evening. What a great venue for him to play in and the audience was awesome.Dave Lima on the keys playing Vernice's Boogie along with Robert Nighthawk Stomp and Miracle were the hightlights for me. Ronnie is looking great at 61 and I hope will come to Maryland for some shows.

    Never disappoints

True master guitarist! Ronnie keep on touring with the great Broadcasters. Only wish I could get to more shows! I always try to introduce people by bringing along and they always become instant fans as well. Too bad he wasn't allowed to come out and walk around the fans for some reason but he did try. I look forward to the next show.

Another fantastic show with Ronnie Earl

by drumhead1957 on 2/19/13B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

My second year seeing Ronnie Earl & the Broadcasters at BB Kings. Great classic blues tunes, and lots of tasty improvisation. Ronnie works the crowd well, and always puts on a "from the heart" show.

Ronnie played 2 hours and 35 minutes!!!

by Huskersfan1 on 2/17/13B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Two hours and thirty five minutes of the most amazing guitar work. What a fantastic "hand"! Two songs into the set it was already more than worth the cost of the airline ticket and hotel. Would do it all again in a New York Minute!

Ronnie Earl at B.B. King Blues Club and Grill

by EastsideEddie on 2/17/13B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Well, what can you say? Ronnie Earl is simply one of the best blues guitarists in the world. He can stand shoulder to shoulder with Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, and B. B. King himself. His style and technique are both impeccable. His band the Broadcasters is also great. In particular, you'd think his keyboard player was the reincarnation of Otis Spann; he's great. Ronnie suffers from diabetes and was sick the day before the show But he told the audience he didn't want to cancel the show and that he was glad he didn't, because it felt great to be up on stage playing for us. And you know he meant it. The man is sincerity incarnate. He comes through as being humble, kind, and gracious. When he plays he closes his eyes, squeezes his face tight, and shakes his head from side to side -- and it's not an act. You know he's reaching down to the depths of soul and letting loose all the passion and beauty that lives there. It's a beautiful and stirring thing to behold.

No Surprise Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters WOW!

by brothernot on 2/17/13B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

I have only seen Ronnie Earl perform 3x in my life. I wish he would come down to NYC more often. Each time is like a breath of fresh air. A strong dose of a craft that is best experienced in a club like BB Kings. The band is great. Ronnie Earl played his heart and soul out for over three hours. Loved every minute, Ronnie Earl is a great guitarist that will just blow you away. His performance gets better each time I see him. What a great time!!!
