    Sad and disappointing

by Billy Lou on 1/16/23Sony Hall - New York

I have been to Sony Hall several times with generally disappointing experiences. The past three times my wife and I sat in an elevated table for three that we loved. This time we were not able to sit there as it was "reserved". No-one ended up sitting there until after the show began. When we arrived I asked the doorman if we could go down and his response was an unnecessarily terse and disgruntled resounding "NO!" Then we were shown to a VIP table by an uncomfortable young woman who did not know what to say when we did not want to sit so close. Our waiter didn't seem to accept the fact that my soda was flat though he did return with an equally flat glass of soda. He took our order and after the show began, about an hour and a half later I had to go find him to ask for the check. The food was ok but when he brought the check there was a tip included and the option to add more. I would have gone for a total of 10%. We were not asked if we wanted desert. As far as the show goes, it was sad. I have loved listening to Ronnie Earl over the years but his physical condition has deteriorated and his performance was impressive given his condition but nevertheless disappointing. We left early. We had the same experience with Sergio Mendez and Bebel Gilberto, lackluster performances of formerly great musicians. I don't think we will jump to return to Sony Hall. Sorry to be the bearer of a negative review. The gentleman in the men's room was really nice. Happy New Year.

    Great performance!

by Marie on 10/8/19Blue Ocean Music Hall - Salisbury

Ronnie”s soulful love of music brings so much joy to my heart. Adam had big shoes to fill and he is an excellent bass player, very connected and so able to switch gears. A delightful surprise to experience Tom Hammond live! Diane Blue is powerful in her own right and brings so my feeling to the room... Thank you.

    Ronnie always brings the magic

by drumhead1957 on 3/28/17B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

I've seen Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters 3 times now at B.B. King. Every time the show has been really enjoyable. Ronnie plays with such passion, and the band always backs him up to perfection with just the right amount of dynamics.

Great artist, great show, an incredible night!

by GabyPP on 3/15/16B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

We've enjoyed every second of the 3 hour performance by a blues legend. The guitar is evidently part of him, not just an instrument. The band and the singer along where great too. Playing close to the people and off the stage, hanging out with the audience after such a long performance, Ronnie Earl showed his kind nature, and what a nice person he is. Hope to see him again!

Ronnie Earl, What controlled Zen Energy

by Strictly34 on 2/29/16B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

What a GREAT night! I brought 3 of my friends, who had never seen him. They loved it and so did I. Ronnie makes you feel that you're part of the show and that you're important to him. I can't wait to see him again! I have seen him 2 times before. By far, this was the best show. Where does he get the energy? I told my wife that I'd be home by 10:30. We left at 11:15 pm and he was still playing. WOW!! He is so humble. With no ego, he had people join him on stage. That was humility at it's best. Please have him back soon.

Ronnie Earl the Broadcasters & Others Nailed It.

by TVTech2 on 2/28/16B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

This was undeniably one of the BEST of Ronnie and the Broadcasters performances I have seen to date. The addition of Ms. Blue fit like a glove. Ronnie's love of music and Ronnie's as well as the groups talents came through loud and clear. They played non stop for about 3 1/2 hours and only stopped upon request of the venue so they could close. They had several musicians as well as 2 artist's visiting from Argentina to join them, in as Ronnie would say "Sharing the Love".
