    Atlanta - 2012 edition

    by A. N. on 2/26/23

Went only for Slayer. The only other good band was Motörhead. Slayer didn’t even headline. Neither did Motörhead.

    Worst Mayhem Festival to date!!!

by Butterflygirl81 on 8/7/15Gexa Energy Pavilion - Dallas

This was my 4th year attending the Mayhem Festival in Dallas with my husband. We only went to see a very few number of bands this year since the line-up was terrible. There was only a crappy 2nd stage set up which was very cramped and people could barely move around. In years' past there was a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th stage. Definitely a huge drop in people attending this one as compared to the past as well. Basically a terrible line-up and crappy 2nd stage set the tone for a very disappointing Mayhem experience this year. My seats rocked only because I got them when they went on pre-sale and knew what I wanted.

Good Main Stage, Weak 2nd Stage

    by CPont524 on 8/7/15XFINITY Theatre - Hartford

The Main Stage was def what was worthwhile at this show. Slayer was a great headliner and it was awesome seeing King Diamond for the 1st time, nice to cross that off my never seen list. Hellyeah performed solid as usual and TDWP was a great main stage opener. The 2nd stage was disappointing tho. Shattered Sun was the star of that stage in my opinion and the biggest name Whitechapel was enjoyable as always. The rest of the 2nd stage was either mediocre or disappointing. Hoping this isn't the final year of Mayhem but it wouldn't surprise me if it was.

King Diamond and Slayer kicked ass!

by Ryche666 on 8/4/15The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion presented by Huntsman - Woodlands

Since this festival was held outdoors in the South Texas heat in August,we went only to see King Diamond and Slayer, when we got to the venue, where we had purchased seats, we saw there was nobody on the lawn, everyone was in the seating area. There hadn't been enough tickets sold to fill the venue, so they allowed everyone who bought a lawn seat to come sit in the seating area for no additional charge. I suppose this small turn out was due to the 107 degree heat index that afternoon. Sucks that we payed for something that was given for free, but I guess it was pretty awesome for those who didn't.

mayhem2015 halleyeah, king diamond and slayer!

by nicoz19 on 8/4/15The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion presented by Huntsman - Woodlands

Everything was awesome! The bands, the scheduling. It was just frustrating because none of the staff members seemed to know what was going in. We had all access vip passes, given to us by the drummer of one of the mainstage bands, but everytime we tried to go somewhere the staff wasn't sure if that was ok.
