The bands playing playing on Sunday July 4th were amazing and full of energy. Reignwolf set the right tone with an amazing vibe escalating all the way to weezer. The entrance into the venue was quite quick provided that one arrived reasonably early and the beer garden had a great and fast system to get the beer.

by Oilerguy on 7/23/13Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre - VictoriaWhat an awesome venue for a summer concert series! We will absolutely be back again next year to take in this festival...great food, great music, great weather!
Rating: 4 out of 5 Rock the Shores next year, for sure!
by Anonymous on 7/17/13Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre - VictoriaA great event: excellently well organized, a killer lineup, and even the weather cooperated. I applaud the expansion from a one day festival to two days. I can't wait to see who will be playing next year.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Crowded but well organized
by PJK12345 on 7/17/13Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre - VictoriaBC Transit made getting there and getting home a breeze The only waiting I had to do was getting into the beer garden. Definitely crowded but we were able to find a decent spot to enjoy the show and drink our beer!
Rating: 4 out of 5by TimLF on 7/17/13Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre - Victoria This was the second annual event for this promoter. Not sure if they learned from the first Rock the Shores. The music was great but how the promoter handled the incoming crowd was questionable. They poured out perfectly good, just purchased, bottled water at the gate when a simple sniff would have been sufficient. Then I had to go find water, from a garden hose none the less! And there was very little water pressure so filling took time and the lineup was unbearable with the Sun and heat. And the neighboring cash machine failed early on as did the water filling station, hence the garden hose. Once inside the over 19 area (Beer Garden) there was no direct access to services such as First Aid. There were no ear plugs for the offering as well. The group selection was fantastic for both days and the music was excellent. The set security did an exceptional job at keeping the crowds in check. My hat's off to them.
Rating: 3 out of 5 Rock the Shores 2013 - great once we got in.
by Jerome12345 on 7/17/13Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre - VictoriaThe sound was great and the bands were excellent once we finally got in. We waited in line 2 hours and missed the first 2 acts before finally getting in. The line took us so far from the venue we couldn't even hear the music. Despite that the acts we did see were worth the wait. The volunteers were great, the food and drink selection was good. They could have used a few more porta potties/urinals and emptied them a little sooner.
Rating: 2 out of 5by Anonymous on 7/16/13Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre - Victoria Bands rocked! Event planning sucked. Have to be an awesome line-up of bands to make me want to do it again. Not much learned after line-ups n' lightning 2012
Rating: 5 out of 5 Rock the Shores VIP Weekend Tickets 13&14 july
by livinthelife on 7/16/13Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre - VictoriaThe VIP area was pretty great. One additional food truck in that area would be great. Beer line up and ATM was a constant flow. Max wait was only a couple minutes . the washrooms was a little short at the start of Saturday. But they brought additional right away. Max 10 min wait for the washroom. Really no complaints. Beer was decent priced considering the event and no in and outs, 7 bucks. Waited maybe 15 minutes in line to access the concert. I would pay 300 per ticket to not change a thing about the VIP area.
