    Can't quite peg it

by BruceFan40 on 1/4/11Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - Cleveland

We drove 6 hours for the Bruce Springsteen exhibit and couldn't have been happier. The rest of the museum seemed a bit disjointed and we really didn't have the energy to sit through a 63 minute movie at the END of the tour. We've been trying to figure out how else it could have been organized...we were lucky enough to go to the Annex in NYC in 2009 and it was so powerful (the way we walked in, the intro. movie, the headsets that played the artists music as you stood in front of each item/s). It seems like they can't get everything in the building so there was so much we were left without.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

by starshine77 on 10/26/10Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - Cleveland

If you're an Elvis, Beatles, Hendrix, Rolling Stones, or Jim Morrison fan, it's worth it. They have a bunch of historical artifacts that belonged to people in these bands. There is also a bunch of clothes and shoes that belonged to rockers over the years. It's kind of lame at times, but it's sort of worth the price of admission. The gift shop is really big and nice. I spent almost four hours there because I didn't want to miss anything. When I went there was this big Springsteen exhibit going on, but I could have cared less. I think you should wait and go when there is an exhibit going on that you'd really like to see.

    Time Travel

by TRex86 on 10/19/10Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - Cleveland

The Hall of Fame was a pleasant surprise, everything from childhood artwork to some amazingly small costumes. If there is a work "untacky" this is it: The vintage Heil amps, the vinyl 45's, the glitz, the posters. OMG, my life passed in front of my eyes. My heroes are still dead; some now look dead. If you're a Boomer and grew up with the music of the 60's but stayed tuned in until recently the displays will be a shocking tour of the best of American popular culture. Buckle up.
