Robert Hunter Tickets

For the third time in thirty years I was amazed by the lyrics as they were presented by the writer. The songs as collaboration with Garcia and played by the Dead are one thing, but the artist's reanimating the words is a joy. My 16 year old son,probably the younest there, got a new insight as to the songs that he has heard and will hear them slightly differently now. Thanks for coming to town Robert and may the four winds blow you safely home!!!

Robert hunter was the most authentic artist I've seen in ages These songs were always his and now he has the opportunity to perform them as written to an audience who has loved these tunes for a very long time. Im glad to have gotten the chance to hear them in his own voice. See hunter as soon as you can! Sidebar: it would have been nice to hear some of his originally recorded songs and those of Jim launderdale an incredible artist in his own right.

Amazing, soulful performance. Quiet beauty. Made me fall in love with my favorite grateful dead songs all over again.

Songs were great the performance? Hideous. Tough to bitch about a legendary song writer but there is a reason he is known as a writer not a performer.

Nice to just be in the same room as Mr. Hunter, a man whose words have meant a lot to me over my life. The audience was extremely respectable. When was the last time you heard Stella Blue or Ripple without having to filter out the person behind you's conversation. Very nice.

Robert Hunter lived up to expectations and more. A legenday composer. An amazing percentage of his music are classics.

The best word I can use to describe this special night with Robert Hunter is sweet. His vocals truly did his lyrics justice. I'm glad I went. If you haven't already, catch him if you can the next time he tours.
