    Metal God at his best

by dimonukr on 12/25/10Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim

Rob Halford always delivered a great show with Judas Priest or his own band. This time was not an exception. The band was great. They looked and sounded like they were in their 20's, full of energy and power. Obviously, they mostly played Halford songs, but they also played 3 Priest songs as well. That's exactly what fans need. Great combination of songs.

    Halford

by Bruinvic on 12/21/10Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim

Rob Halford never dissapoints. He isn't called the Metal God for nothing. The set list was good, it could've included a few more songs from Priest and Fight, but overall Halford was great. The voice is there and Rob knows how to conect to the crowd. Go see him, you won't be sorry.

    halford show

by mrjunkbox on 12/21/10Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim

Hartford was awesome. Opening acts sucked. Philm didn't belong on stage justbecause Dave lombardo is the drummer doesn't make them good they were the worst band I've seen next to warbringer both sucked. Hartford was great but vocals were too low probably they forgot to turn the drums down and turn back up the vocals after philm

Metal god live up to his name.

by 91860 on 12/21/10Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim

If you went to see Rob Halford expecting a Judas Priest show, It didn't happen. What you got was a slamming example of his solo work. The opening track, "Resurrection" set the tone for a great set by a great band, fronted by one of the best voices in Metal. When Halford did perform songs from the Priest, he brilliantly stayed away from the typical hits in favor of classic gems, "Green Manalishi" & "Diamonds & Rust". The band looked as thought they were having a great time & their performances reflected that vibe. I would bet that anyone in attendance that didn't own any Halford or Fight releases before Sunday's show, would certanly only 1 or 2 discs after.

    unadulterated manic metal music

by HalfordFan on 12/21/10Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim

Fantastic night full of metal music - I have seen Halford (and Judas Priest) in concert many, many times and he never disappoints. He is the real thing with his gracious personality and that amazing voice. Seeing him at a small venue like the Grove is a special treat, where you can really experience the music up close and personal. I appreciated the "no moshing" rule, and felt totally safe being at the very front and just enjoyed the show, and his great rapport with the audience.
