Ro was amazing, the venue was wrong

by JShavonne on 9/11/18Sugar's Cajun - Missouri City

My rating of the venue is simply based on the cost of this "concert". I can't rate the food or drinks because a server came to the table 15-20 minutes before I was leaving. The other party that was already seated said the food and drinks were good. The low rating is simply because this show shouldn't have cost me $50 after taxes and fees. 1. Ro performed a track set and 2. He only performed 4 songs!!!!!!!! Had I only paid $20-$30, I wouldn't be as upset. Ro was a sweetie as usual. He stayed behind to take photos with everyone and even though he had a track set, he was still amazing! I will surely think twice before purchasing tickets to other concerts at this venue. The length of the performance by the artist doesn't add up to the cost paid.

This night was as beautiful as Ro, I have met and talked to him numerous times. His energy, his vibes and presence are organic. I love he interact with the crowd and talks to everyone. I asked him to do a video with me and he followed it with a hug and kiss.... which by the way he gives the Best huggs.I drove in 2hrs away and would do it again! He comes back to Houston 10/28/18 and best believe I will be there.

    Well....

by CaramelMacc4 on 9/11/18Sugar's Cajun - Missouri City

So I am a huge Ro James fan, his voice is like velvet and his aura is too smooth to pass by. His performance was good, but I did not like that this event was a track show and my guy only performed four songs and the fifth one was only the first verse of ADIDAS, like really Sugar’s? It was intimate but I have seen better coming from him. After this performance I’ll wait until he headlines his own tour again so I can have the band and full acoustics. I’m happy I spent what I did but I guess due to contract purposes we got what we got. The venue is nice and I would go again but I’ll be choosing wisely.

    Bait and Switch

by Anonymous on 9/11/18Sugar's Cajun - Missouri City

This was not a concert as promoted. Ro was contracted to come to a restaurant and sing 3 songs. He did great but the restaurant mislead the guests and led us to believe this was an actual concert.

Ronnie James Tucker is life, okay!

    by CaramelMacc4 on 9/8/17Warehouse Live - Houston

He's so humble even with laryngitis at the time of his performance, I still felt like I was in Heaven listening to Ro James. The man can sang okay (SANG!), I can tell he was a choir boy, he can take you to church I feel but have the soul of the R&B and the rasp of the Rock & Roll in his voice. The highlight of the night was being that chosen one to sip Jack Daniels and be serenaded to, I've been hooked every since he was Erykah Badu's opener at the Arena Theater. The meet & greet are well worth it, he will chat it up with you, sign whatever memorabilia you would like, take snap chat, IG, etc. His hugs are amazing and the man smells so good. Yeah I'm a fan, team Ro James ALL DAY! *Roses emoji*

Ro James needs to take care of his voice

by digthewarmth on 3/5/17Howard Theatre - Washington

This must have been Ro James' first real tour because his voice was Shot when he got to DC. He didn't sing any falsetto or high note parts, and he was extremely pitchy when trying to do runs. I was very disappointed to have spent my money to hear that. He was one of the worst vocals I've seen live. He also didn't give an encore, as he probably knew his voice wasn't good. The audience up front were aggressively ready to leave after his last song. His opening act Kevin Ross made up for his terrible performance, and I felt like at least I was able to hear Kevin for my money. Major Myjah was good too.
