Liked it, but not as good as previous years

by BuffyJensen on 11/30/13The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

I miss the lead female singer and the trumpet! It was not the same without her; she was always so nice and I felt like she was there for her audience and there to have a blast. The other band members did great getting into the music like the lead guitarist (the guy with the mustache) and the bass player. The lead singer mumbled a lot of his words so it was difficult to understand what he was saying. However, the rest of the band did an awesome job.

River City Extension not to be missed!

by TreyFan2021 on 5/15/13Webster Hall - New York

Just got back from Webster Hall to see River City open for The Hush Sound. They stole the show! They are a 7 piece indie band with a original sound comprising of folk and rock. Very musical, energetic, and the musicians are very talented. Horns, Strings, guitars you name it. They have some of the best songwriting I have heard from any band in years. A very exciting and dynamic show! I Loved it and cannot recommend them enough. You will not be disappointed!

River City never fails to put on an unbelieveable show. So much energy and love for what they're doing! Their openers, Brick and Mortar and The Front Bottoms, are also excellent. They are definitely a must-see whenever they are around! By far one of the best bands I've ever seen!

River city Extension - just what the area needed

by Tomsriver1 on 11/23/12The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

This band from Toms River NJ; an area still hurting from Hurricane Sandy, brought their infectious rock and folkabilly to the sold out crowd and left them wanting more and satisfied to the max. We needed this at this time and a good time was had by all. Watch them, they are on their way.

They are excellent musicians, connect very well with the public and their music repertoire is great. I have learned to like this group by listening to them when my daughters plays them ( very often!!) and have from the beginning been impressed with their rich instrumentation, skill as musicians, the breadth and range of the music they play. After seeing them in person, love them even more, they are just s lot if fun !!!!! and I expect they will be quite successful. Will go to see them anytime they come around.

This concert was perfect. I went originally to see Gold Motel, but I fell in love with all the bands that played that night. I bought all the CDs available.

    What an amazing experience!

by Lambda1 on 3/25/12The Club at Stage AE - Pittsburgh

I stumbled upon this band through a Ticketmaster e-mail when they were coming to town, looked up a few songs, and bought tickets immediately! There's a familiar element to their music - in a good way - that is difficult to describe. You hear any of their songs and you like it on the spot! As for the show itself: it's nothing short of a musical experience! They play their hearts out, and you can tell they love making music! I will keep an eye out for the next time they're nearby. I'm willing to go out of my way to see them again, that's how much I liked them!
