About

Redlight King is the musical project of singer and songwriter Mark “Kaz” Kasprzyk. Citing the early influences of American musicians such as Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and hip hop artists of the 90s, Redlight King creates a hybrid blend of alternative rock music featuring country influences. The efforts paid off in a nomination for Canada’s JUNO Best New Artist award for the debut album, Something for the Pain.

See these guys any chance you get

by RockNRicker on 11/3/13House of Blues - Orlando

Redlight King is one of the great up and coming rock bands of today. Don't miss a chance to see them before they only play stadiums and festivals. They are energetic and their songs are raw and real; stuff you can really relate too.

    Icon for Hire was Exceptional

by malleryii on 8/28/13Studio B at Skyway Theatre - Minneapolis

Icon for Hire were vibrant and exciting. They really got the crowd into the show. Redlight King were awesome as well. Both bands played the small club with enthusiasm. They both enjoyed the 150+ person crowd. The bands made it very personal for the attendee.

Redlight King is an instant like!

by crashed3cars on 8/23/13Gramercy Theatre - New York

The bad news, was the promoters did a rotten job of filling the venue! The good news, is Redlight King is GREAT! I give them a solid B+. The only reason they don't get an A is because I still feel they would have put on an even better show if they had a crowd to play to. I did some research after the show determining they were worth my time. The lead "Kaz" is actually Redlight King. He writes his own stuff. He plays guitar through most every song & has a really magnetic voice! The songs and sound are unique. Kaz has a Great voice! This act is still heavy on rock and really playing their instruments, but they throw in (in a good way) a little bit of rock rapping. No synthesizers here. It's so refreshing! You like these songs instantly. They don't need to grow on you, but are instant favorites. There's just something SO incredibly GOOD about them! The band was likeable and FULL of energy. I would see them again in a heartbeat!

    Icon was AWESOME!!

by oldschoolmike on 8/20/13Paradise Rock Club - Boston

Went to the concert specifically for Icon for Hire - they did not disappoint! The energy was off the hook! The crow was totally rocking - singing all the songs (off the debut album), and eating up the new ones. The band gave it 110% I have no idea how such a little thing as Ariel can be so powerful with her voice. The icing was the time the band spent with the audience after their set - they were genuinely excited to spend time with us - not just say hi, and sign an autograph or two, but to look you in the eye and share a moment with you - give you a hug, and tell you how much they love and appreciate you - this at no- "were obliged to do this because you paid a meet-n-greet fee" - extra charge! Keep it up guys can't wait to see you again!

Icon For Hire was worth it

by misfit815 on 8/16/13Deluxe at Old National Centre - Indianapolis

I found Icon For Hire via Pandora, and enjoyed their first album. I expected their live show to be pretty good, and it lived up to expectations. Perhaps it was a little short, but that may have been the constraint of being a double-header. Honestly, I didn't stick around for Redlight King. I watched a video or two on YouTube, and didn't care much for him. The downside is that the event wasn't promoted very well. I wouldn't have known about it if I wasn't watching Icon For Hire's tour schedule. And it showed - there weren't many people there.

Icon performed an awesome show! The venue was intimate and they rocked the "house." See them when they come to your area and get the pre-sale album.
