    Great band and backup dancers!

by sneezieonetoo on 12/30/12Grand Sierra Resort - Reno

I saw this show with my family, including a 5 year old and 12 year old. The 12 year old loved it but it as kinda late (9PM) for my son. Overall it was much better than I expected. We got the living social deal that included a $50 fine dining credit and good seats for $30. The backup dancers were my favorite. They were young, sexy and seemed to be having a FUN time dancing. The second best was the band. They were simply amazing. Finally the "stars" were okay but it's really hard to compete with the original performers that you hear on the radio all the time. They weren't bad, just not perfect. Overall, it was fun to hear good music, singing and dancing of some of the most popular music of our time! I recommend it!

    Good with the bad

    by Aaron101010 on 12/21/12A local - Reno

To begin with I would like to point out that the band playing for the impersonators was amazing. However, the guy that sang the back up vocals needs to take some singing lessons. The first act Madonna was done well. There was some fun interaction with the audience, and the performances were well done. The next act was the Prince impersonator. I felt that his performance was the second best performance in the show. Raspberry beret and Purple Rain were included in the act of course. The dancing and singing was on par. The third act was a Carrie Underwood performance. I felt that this was the act that could have been done better if she was a Britney Spears impersonator. She did Carrie Underwood well, but I did not feel that her heart was in it. The fourth act was Lady Gaga, and was by far the worst act of the evening. This act was done by the same impersonator that did Madonna. The only reason I feel she gets a crowd pop is due to Lady Gaga being so popular. Her notes were way off key, I had to listen to my Lady Gaga CD in the car to cleanse my ears from that horror. The person that set up this show saved the best for last. The Michael Jackson impersonator put the other acts to shame. He was perfectly on key, the dancing was amazing, and songs that were selected were perfect. I felt that the show just kind of closed abruptly. I was expecting some kind of number in which all four impersonators sang together, however it was worth the price paid. I had a chance to meet with each impersonator after the show, they were all very nice and offered to take photos and sign autographs. If you are looking for a night out for a fair price, I'd say it's worth the $15 per person.
