The venue had zero shade and no organization. Some of the acitivities that were advertised weren't even there. The bands did not offer enough interaction with the kids.
Wonderful concert. Parents had at least as much fun as the kids. This is top-notch musical skill, folks. Wonderful day.

Recess Festival was wonderful! Only thing we were looking for was the tattoo and rockstar hair station but only because it was advertised beforehand. Kids had a great time & we had a good mix of sitting & watching with walking and playing at all the different stations. Definitely recommend.
The day was too long and hot, but the Laurie Berkner Band made us forget all that! They had a great set, engaging both kids and adults. My 4 1/2 year old daughter is still giggling about Laurie "falling asleep". 5 acts is too much for the day for this audience. Would have been helpful to have a map showing location of the other activities. Given the possibility of hot weather, make it a map / fan. Parents trying to lug kids and supplies will fade fast after multiple trips up, down and across those grounds!
What a wonderful afternoon with the kids. Some small activities for the kids when they needed a break from sitting.
We had a fantastic day celebrating my daughter's 5th birthday. We came to see Laurie Berkner but really loved the other performers as well. And Laurie Berkner did not disappoint! So fun to be a part of this event.
Really not that engaging of a day. A few little activity booths set up, but most of it was for marketing/lead generation of other places that sell to kids and parents. My daughter and I made the best of it, but overall wasn't even close to being worth the time or the money
My daughter and I are big fans of the kindie music scene, so this show was very exciting for us. We knew most of the acts and hadn't gotten a chance to see most of them live. Not a single group disappointed. We hope this festival will become an annual event, bringing many of the very talented kindie groups to Michigan.
My daughter is a huge Laurie Berkner fan. All of the performers were great and the activities were a lot of fun. She enjoyed trying new instruments, being a DJ and making a hilarious pair of sunglasses. It was a great event and very entertaining for the whole family.
