About

RADIATION CITY IN CONCERT:

Indie rockers Radiation City combine sunny surf harmonies with atmospheric vibes, drawing each infectious tune to a dramatic climax guaranteed to please. Fans can't help but sing along with singers Lizzy Ellison and Patti King as they intertwine their soulful and sultry vocals to deliver clever turns of phrase. The rhythm section masterfully underpins each sweeping melody by dropping in subtly swinging grooves that get fans swaying to the beat. At the peak of each majestic track, the group pulls out all the stops, stunning crowds with four-part harmonies and epic synth swells on dynamic standouts like “Zombies”, “Babies”, and “Find It of Use”. As ticket buyers give in to the wall of sound, Radiation City makes good on the emotional power and memorable immediacy of their symphonic indie pop gems.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Radiation City began in 2010 as a collaboration between keyboardist/vocalist Lizzy Ellison and her boyfriend guitarist/vocalist Cameron Spies. By their third Portland, OR show, they’d added drums and bass to the equation, creating the lineup that would appear on their 2010 cassette-only debut The Hand that Takes You. New member and multi-instrumentalist Patti King brought another female voice to the group’s tight harmonies for their 2013 sophomore album Animals in the Median. After earning glowing reviews from taste makers like NPR, Time, and Rolling Stone, they headed back to the studio to work on their third album, 2016’s Synesthetica. Whether on tour or in the studio, Radiation City continues to wow crowds with their uniquely captivating blend of classic pop hooks and modern atmospheric textures.

They made good sounds with their mouth and hands that made me feel happy :)))))))) They hung out and sat at a table in the audience while the openers played, which was pretty cool. Deep Sea Diver is also a swell group of people.
