About

RACHEL PLATTEN IN CONCERT:

Rising pop singer-songwriter Rachel Platten came out swinging in 2015 with her breakout hit “Fight Song”, and she pulls no punches at her unforgettable live performances. Platten’s dynamic voice and thoughtful lyrics convey equal parts confidence and vulnerability, and her inspiring concerts take ticket buyers on an empowering journey that runs the full gamut of emotions. She stunned fans at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards with her stripped-down rendition of “Fight Song”, proving herself a powerhouse performer with a confident and relaxed stage presence that belied her recent arrival in the spotlight. With her 2016 album Wildfire generating big buzz to match her larger-than-life voice, Platten is poised to become a full-blown pop sensation just in time for her next round of highly anticipated performances on tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Massachusetts-born Rachel Platten grew up studying music and performing in her school choir. While studying at Trinity College she was a member of an all-female a cappella group, and after graduation she set out to pursue music full-time. She moved to Greenwich Village in New York and began performing with a Prince cover band before eventually playing her own solo shows. She released a demo album titled Trust in Me in 2003, then spent the better part of the next decade honing her craft before releasing her 2011 sophomore album Be Here. That album spawned a minor hit with “1,000” ships, but her career really took off in 2015 when she signed with Columbia Records and released the single “Fight Song”. The song was a Top 10 hit in the US, the UK, Australia and beyond, earning her two Teen Choice Award nominations and setting expectations sky high for her 2016 album Wildfire.

Rachel Platten is a must see!

by AndreaGail16 on 7/16/18Beau Rivage Theatre - Biloxi

Rachel Platten has been a favorite of mine since her album release in 2016; however, my husband was indifferent. After her concert, he even said he’d loved to see her again soon. Rachel’s voice is heaven sent, and she has an even greater personality. She included all of her fans both young and old to ensure that everyone had the best time possible. Rachel Platten is definitely a must see for anyone even relatively interested in her music.

    My daughters 1st concert!

by Kritterlitter7 on 7/16/18Beau Rivage Theatre - Biloxi

This was my 13 year olds first concert! Fight song was her favorite song as she fought cancer for 2 years and is 2 years cancer free! That song got her through many tough times. Rachel was inspiring, and so human! She put on a great show that was multi generation and family friendly!! I still cannot believe she’s 37! Looks like she's 25!!

She is totally real down to earth and truly talented -- plays guitar and piana and writes most of her own songs.

    Rachel Platten was on Fire

by Vegeta1000 on 7/3/18BMO Harris Pavilion - Milwaukee

Rachel started the show off with Stand by me. That was a great start to the set. She interacted with the crowd a lot and seemed to be having a really fun time on stage. She also did a cover of gin and juice which was fun. Ended the amazing set with Fight Song. Rachel is a great performer and I recommend her to anyone who is looking for a great time.

    Rachel Platten was Amazing!

by LiamsRaRa on 12/6/17The Paramount - Huntington

The ultimate entertainer - high energy for EVERY song - I'm 52 and few concerts force me to lleave my seat to go to the floor to dance, but SHE DID. She surprised us all near the end of the concert by sitting down at front of stage with a couple of other band members to treat us to "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." What a voice, what a talent, what a success story!! She's so endearing - couldn't be happier for her and her family. Her Dad was in the audience - traveled to see her - so sweet. She will inspire your life, where ever you're at. So infectious. Thank you, Rachel, for a wonderful 34th Anniversary night out with my hubby (he even liked her and he's not much into girl concerts!!!).

    Not what i expected

by 753drev3185 on 1/30/17Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior Lake

I thought her set was pretty disappointing. It seems as though she was trying to be a rock star. I could not really hear her singing as the drums and all the other music was so loud. I was in the forth row and when they started it literaly threw me back into my seat. There were two elderly people in the row in front of me and they as did i accually cover our ears. I guess i was expecting more of an accoustic concert so i could hear her amazing oice but that was not the case. I was also surprised she did some cover songs one being an ols school rap song. Maybe she does not have enough material to do an entire set.
