Queens of the Stone Age Background

Queens of the Stone Age got its start in 1996 in Palm Desert, California. Originally, the band called itself Gamma Ray. However, a German metal group already had this name, so Queens of the Stone Age was born. This name came from the nickname of Josh Homme's previous band, Kyuss. The band's musical style is influenced by many rock and metal genres, with macho and German rock styles commonly attributed to it. Later albums incorporate electronic and dance music influences. Queens of the Stone Age had their first concert in Seattle, Washington at the OK Hotel on November 20, 1997. Once they released their self-titled album Queens of the Stone Age, they started touring in 1998. They had their big break when they released their second album, Rated R, in 2000 and got the opportunity to open for Foo Fighters, The Smashing Pumpkins and other high-profile bands. An invite for Ozzfest 2000 came shortly after.

    Great as always

As everyone else, the only problem lies in the prices. A whiteclaw costing $19 and fries at $9 is not acceptable.

    by I<3queens on 12/22/23

Saw them both in LA and SD back to back and I’ve never had such a great experience before, maybe in biased because they’re my favorite band but I’ve been to many many concerts before and they know how to put on a show. I also love the fan interaction they do. I was dancing and singing the whole time it was just amazing so if you’re debating on getting tickets or not I suggest GET THEM!! it’s worth it 100%!!
