King's Plate Tickets

We attended the Queen's plate last year. Trackside Apron. Fantastic event. A couple drink tickets and food passed around. Even a person wondering to take your bets. Seating could have been more but we planned better for this year.... No need. No seats. No drinks. No food. Regular optional seating in the grand stand. For trackside this was a real waste. Should have just bought grandstand seats. I definitely didn't spend as much on betting and I'm certainty not going to get these tickets next year.

The event is the event but jeez no food trucks no outdoor entertainment or things to do…missed opportunity nothing like previous years. Also only having the food court open where it’s def not designed for these volumes. Waited in line for at least 20 minutes and after placing a basic order waited another 20 minutes. From an event standpoint terrible I’ve gone every year to the queens plate and this year makes me question returning

The racing delivered as usual. But the staffing issue was a concern. Things could have moved faster when it comes to serving food and beverages, but everything else was top notch given the site was under construction. They should also bring back the souvenir pictures that we can print!!

As the title says, What happened to the party and fashion? This years Kings Plate had no flair or excitement, it seemed like any other day at woodbine just with more people. There was no hype, no party atmosphere, no red carpet, no fashion runway. A derby is to be all about the Fashion and fun, oh yeah and the horse racing. Someone has to bring back the fun and excitement or there will be no Kings plate in the coming years. It will just turn into another day at the races. We are in the verge of losing one of the most beautiful exciting fashionable event at here in Toronto. I hope the organizers understand the biggest mistake they have made and correct it and bring the PARTY back next year. Oh and next year I hope they fix valet parking and don’t put it in the middle of a TTC bus loop and Uber drop off. BRING THE PARTY AND FASHION BACK!!!!!!

It was fun being there, however, a bit disappointing. Since it was the first King's Plate in over 70 years, I thought King Charles would have been there or at least someone from the Royal Family representing him.

First time for me and I would definitely return! One piece of constructive criticism was that the Valet parking was pure chaos. In general, I found the staff of the parking was unprofessional and disorganized. When we were arriving and asking for some directions we were given incorrect or incomplete directions twice. Then, when Valet were calling the cars, there didn’t seem to be enough man power. It may seem like a small thing, but it is not the right note to end on for such a beautiful day. The crowd waiting for their cars were agitated and anxious. Please improve this system for next year. A little more “Guest Services” attention for the entrance and exit. But I’m really happy I came for the experience itself. Thank you

This was one of the best event by Woodbine so far from all my Queens Plate visits. It was well organized and I had a really good time but the food needs improvements.

Event needs to use lanyards ! General admission people kept using our paid seats ...

Loved everything about the King’s Plate except the lines. Don’t know how you can fix that, but it’s my only complaint.

Food concessions very poorly staffed. Waiting over an hour for 2 wraps and burger. Long slow line ups throughout the event. The grandstand is in need of major repairs,peeling paint and rust on beams. Looks like something from a third world country. I’m sure they can afford it either the Provo for everything in addition to the daily take from betting. Won’t rush back.
