About

PRONG IN CONCERT:

Alternative metal masters Prong pile mountains of epic riffs to deliver their trademark earth-shattering sound. In concert the band orchestrates tons of head-banging mayhem that’s sure to drive ticket buyers wild on well-known favorites like “Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck” and “Broken Peace”. Singer/guitarist Tommy Victor lets fans have it with his shredding guitar and high-energy stage antics while veteran metal drummer Aaron Rossi escalates the pandemonium with his driving beats. With their ninth album Ruining Lives fresh in fans’ minds, this trio is taking their savage blend of metal, industrial, and alternative to the masses.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Tommy Victor, former sound man for infamous punk venue CBGB, founded Prong in 1986 with several of his friends from New York's thrash metal scene. Their 1988 debut album Force Fed has been mentioned by members of Korn and Nine Inch Nails for its influential combination of hardcore punk and alternative metal. Prong followed up in 1990 with Beg to Differ, which was well received by metal’s alternative underground and helped the band build an even bigger cult following. They experimented heavily with industrial sounds on 1994's Cleansing LP and the new direction paid off incredibly well -- “Broken Peace” and “Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck” received heavy rotation on MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball and earned Prong spots on tour with bands like Pantera and Sepultura. Since their commercial peak in the ‘90s the band has released seven albums and continues to whip fans into a frenzy whenever they play live.

The venue was fantastic and the price was unbeatable. Prong's set lasted an hour and a half and featured all of the older stuff I love, as well as great new material from their last 2 CD's.
