    A dimmer shade of Pale

by R. on 3/6/19Scottish Rite Auditorium - Collingswood

Although I've loved Procol Harum since 1969 and I have seen Gary Brooker multiple times I found their performance wanting for more. I realize Gary's voice is dimming a bit with age but I found his timing to be late on many occasions. The band was playing to a slower tempo than their songs were recored at and actually had a problem keeping time with each other on stage. Time marches on for all and Procol Harum is no exception, maybe a revamp would be appropriate at this stage of their maturity to recognize their limits and embrace their ultimate retirement.

    Still there is more!

by ACYFan on 3/6/19Scottish Rite Auditorium - Collingswood

Wow! What a great show, the band was tight and on point tonight and Gary was as always in command of the ship. Age has not slowed him down at all, his voice is still golden and Procol Harum's music is as relevant today as it was in the 70's. Now a word about the theater, it is in a word fantastic! If you have never been to a show at the Scottish Rite Auditorium you need to go. If you have seen a show there you already know there's not a bad seat in the house and the acoustics are outstanding. What a perfect place to see a perfect band. Despite the horrible weather we had this night the theater was sold out, everybody showed up and no one left disappointed. Bravo!

Yet another excellent show from these guys. Gary was superb.

by Ed the Large on 3/6/19Scottish Rite Auditorium - Collingswood

I have seen these guys (and their predecessors) several times over the years. My first time was at the Tower in Upper Darby in the 1970s; most recently at Longwood Gardens a few years ago. I took my son and his buddy this time. Both were familiar with the music, but not the show. Both came away amazed! Happy they performed my #1: A Salty Dog. I only missed Plaza Hotel, which I first heard at the Tower. Kudos for showing up in a snowstorm too. I hope they made it to Boston for those shows. Big snow there too.

Played a mixture of classics and some new. Musicianship from the whole band was awesome. Gary's voice was fabulous. An English gem. Go and buy Their latest album Novum. Also Geoff Whitehorn an awesome guitarist.

    A really great show

by Bob on 3/6/19Scottish Rite Auditorium - Collingswood

You can always tell a great band by the number of die hard fans in the audience who know every song that they perform. They sung their three hits exactly as they did years ago, and performed new things that sounded great. My wife, who is not especially a fan of sixties music, loved them. I would definitely see them again, but unfortunately they do not tour in the US very often. I'm glad I got to see them.

    Our Generation Still Rocks!!

    by M. M. on 3/6/19Scottish Rite Auditorium - Collingswood

Scottish Rite Auditorium is a great venue. No overwhelming amps... just great sound that reminds you of your old stereo system. Lousy weather evening made great by free ample parking and a truly great band. Have seen Procal Harum every time they’ve been in the area and they never disappoint. Geoff W STILL has great chops and set list was thoroughly enjoyable. See this band before the leave us like so many other great 1968-1978 performers.
