BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Before forming Primal Fear in 1997, Ralf Scheepers (vocals) and Mat Sinner (bass/backing vocals) were already mainstays of the German metal scen performing with acts like Gamma Ray and Sinner. They took their metal to new heights with the release of Primal Fear’s self-titled debut in 1998, which was a top seller in Germany upon its release. The group grew their following as on opening act for like-minded groups HammerFall and Running Wild over the next couple years. Their third album, 2001’s Nuclear Fire, was a huge breakthrough for the group, leading to headlining world tours and appearances at festivals like Metal Meltdown. By the release of their 2012 album Unbreakable the band had amassed a large enough following to crack into the top 50 of the Billboard 200. Today Primal Fear continues to stun audiences everywhere with their hard-hitting sounds and thrilling live performances.
This show was awesome. Havoc started off the show with the bang and got the audience pumped up. Redemption, like always, played wonderfully. Primal Fear was insane! Best front man ever. Not only did he wield the audience, he was actually surprising polite. I would definitely see them again.
I would liked to have had a little longer than 1 1/2 hour set but that is the way it is. The lead singer is great as usual. the drummer is absolutely fantastic. Even in that little room you could hear most of the words. The power was what i expected, it moves your whole body. Anyone who enjoys metal music would enjoy this show. Highly recommended.
