I enjoyed this show very much. The musicians played very well.
My first time to the event. Was amazing, so impressed with the dedication and talent of all these young people.
The opening performance was John William's songs from ET performed by the alumni ensemble. I was blown away. Then PYWE performed an ensemble from Star Trek! Any movie fan who lived in the 1990's would agree that those two performance were fabulous.
We brought our two young granddaughters for their frist experience of a Professional Orchestra Concert. They both play instruments and take lessons as well as play in their school orchestras. Unfortunately, the performance of this concert was a bit two classical to hold their interests. I had spoke with someone at the ticket office and they said it would be a fun Christmas Concert. Obviously, they were miss informed. We all enjoyed the music for the first half, but we realized that was enough for the girls first experience. We had hoped for more upbeat Christmas music throughout the concert. Had my husband and I been alone, we would have thoroughly enjoyed the full concert.
It's been almost a tradition for us to go to PYP Christmas Performance. They have never disappointed us. Strongly recommended. Very Impressive.
What a wonderful way to spend an evening the day after christmas. Very entertaining, amazing talent and what a joy to watch children who are so very talented display there passion.
I would recommend this event to everyone - young and old alike!
I attended my first PYP concert in order to see Nick Arredondo perform a bass solo. His work was just beautiful. I was also impressed by the other soloist and the quality of the entire orchestra. I left thinking the players had the skills of adult professionals. Thank you PYP.
The huge ensemble was as dynamic as any orchestra could be, thanks to David Hattner drawing it out of these great young musicians!
The conducting was very entertaining even got my 7 yr old engaged the music was a spectacle and of course the storytelling hilarious and very titillating
