Portland Steel Football game was a worthwhile trip

by HostMom on 6/6/16Moda Center - Portland

This was our first Arena Football game. Our Exchange student from Hong Kong is very interested in professional football and this was a way that we could afford to take him to a game. It was very fun with the action being so different from a Professional game. It is very fast and fun. The price of tickets is so much more affordable then the Pro's. Normal prices for venue food along with selection. This is an event that we will go back to again in the future. Next time will spend the little extra to be closer to the action so we have a chance to catch a football. Love the fact that the players appreciate their fans with a meet and greet afterwards.

    fun free friday night-Portland Steel

by Anonymous on 4/5/16Moda Center - Portland

My son and I had just been talking about how far away pre-season for the nfl seemed.August seems like it will never get here soon enough! Well when I heard about the Portland Steel wanting to fill the moda Center for opening night, thus the free tickets - I was interested. I have not worked in the last 7 years so the price was right. We had never seen arena football so it was fun to watch. We got to bring two of my sons friends. They both said they had a good time. With the general admission seating we had great seats down by the end zone. Very impresed with the kickers-that is a much smaller field goal window. We are going to save up to come to another home game in May. Thanks for the fun.

    Was Ok overall

by LinkMissing on 4/5/16Moda Center - Portland

The tickets were free. On my tickets it gave our precise seat location i.e. row, seat. However, when we got there they would not allow us into our section. I guess other people had taken our seats. I was not happy about this. They told us it was general admission. I did not understand as I had precise seat locations on my tickets. This got us off to a very bad start. Food and drinks were grossly over priced. The game was pretty fun to watch. I had never been to an arena football game so it was also a new experience. My Wife and Son had a good time. It was a major outing for us as we live in Hillsboro, had to get a babysitter for our younger child, took the train into Portland, etc. Since it was general admission we changed seats several times. This ended up being good in a way. Other entertainment was fun and brought happiness. Overall it was a pretty good experience.

despite them losing, me and my friends had a great time and my nephew had a blast too. I would for sure go again if I don't have to work it.

Super Fun - More People Should Go!

by BoSoxGrrrl on 4/4/16Moda Center - Portland

We had so much fun at the game! I'd never even seen arena football. I would totally go again, although the tickets are a little pricey for good seats. We could have done without the motorcycle exhaust trying to strangle us and the lady who sang the National Anthem was trying WAY too hard... but other than that, it was a good time. The officials were high-fiving and talking to the little kids in the stands; it was really cool =)

    Portland Steal was unforgettable

    by roadrat7477 on 4/4/16Moda Center - Portland

I would recommend indoor arena football to anybody. It was fun to watch on such a small area everyone should go see it at least once.

    Arena Football

    by pbrad51 on 4/4/16Moda Center - Portland

Thank you Ticketmaster for the free tickets to this event. I took my 3 year old son to his first game. He loved it. For a half anyway (it was his bedtime at that point). The game was high scoring and you got to keep the football if it went into the stands.

    What an experience!

    by Forlini92 on 4/4/16Moda Center - Portland

I have never been to AFL event. This was super fun despite the horrific loss. The Portland Steel really lost miserably, but I really enjoyed myself. There were a lot of games, giveaways and excitement. Its worth a date night or even a fun family night out.

    Boring

    by RyGuy2000 on 4/4/16Moda Center - Portland

As a sports fan, I have tried to like Arena football. Have now been to 2 games and do not think I will be back. The pace of the game is slow with not much excitement. Sorry Portland Steel. Like the new name and logo, but overall a cheesy experience. No thanks.
