The Playboy Club 50th Anniversery party at Ceasars Casino, Windsor Ont. was fantastic. It was a return to the days of cool style, dry martinis and those amazing bunny costumes. Unfortunately it was only for one night.
We were expecting to see more of a playboy motif. Instead it was a party by the pool with some playmates standing together for photo opportunities. Party was great. Not sure why it was put on as a playboy event.
Lay out wasn't bad. Drinks were over priced, after all I paid to get in. I am sure the models would have enjoy the state better if more people were drinking and bering more relaxed. And instead of just having a DJ to spin music in between the show, they should have had more "Playboy" type attractions around,
THE PLAYBOY CLUB - 50TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY - WAS UNBELIEVABLY BAD - POORLY CONCIEVED AND POORLY EXECUTED. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE - CAESARS OR PLAYBOY, BOTH SHOULD SHARE THE BLAME IT WAS LIKE AN AMERICAN LEGION / VFW PIZZA PARTY WITH BEER (CASH BAR) ... THERE WAS NO EXCITEMENT, NO ATTEMPT TO MAKE THE HUGE COLOSSEUM A PARTY LIKE ENVIRONEMNT - IT LOOKED LIKE SOMEBODY SAID - WE DONT HAVE ENOUGH PAYING CUSTOMERS SO WE BETTER DO JUST THE MINIMUM DECORATING - AND THEY DID.. WITH BAD FOOD...(CASH BAR) - COLD FOOD AND ALL THE WOMEN WHO PARADED ON STAGE WERE EMBARRASING - DID NOBODY SCREEN THEM - A FEW WERE QUALIFIED - BUT THE REST WERE DEFINITELY 2ND OR 3RD RATE.. THE VALET STAFF HEARD COMMENTS AND COMPLAINTS ABOUT HOW CHEAP THE EVENT WAS FROM A LOT OF PEOPLE - THE US CUSTOM GUARD HEARD COMPLAINTS ALSO - SO YOU DONT HAVE TO JUST BELIEVE ME...THE WORD SPREAD. PLAYBOY SHOULD BE EMBARRASED THAT THEIR CORPORATE NAME WAS ATTACHED TO THIS EVENT - AND SO SHOULD THE CASINO... AND THE CHEAP PHOTO GIVEAWAYS - AT THE END - AT LEAST THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN PLAYBOY BAGS OR CASINO BAGS PLUS SOME PLAYBOY MEMENTO TO COMMEMORATE BEING AT THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY... AND THE MEDIA PHOTOGRAPHERS WERE STAMPEDED OUT OF THE WAY - BY EVERY GUY OR GIRL WITH A CAMERA PHONE. ONE PLAYMATE TO STAND FOR PHOTOS??? AND WHAT DID THEY RUN OUT OF FILM...HOW MANY TIMES DID THEY REPLAY THE FOOTAGE OF WAVES ROLLING INTO SHORE????? AND THE CASINO MISSED AN OPPORTUNITY TO PROMOTE ITSELF - WITH A RAFFLE OF MERCHANDISE - HOTEL ROOMS - RESTAURANT MEALS ETC...
A Big disappointment. Food was terrible, lines for drinks were long, not enough places to sit, no dancing, DJ was good but did not have that "night club" sound. Certainly a major Casino like Ceasars Windsor could have done a much better job. Playboy would not be happy. I heard a LOT of similar comments from other attendees.
