by quiltsinger on 8/5/14Toby's Dinner Theatre Columbia - ColumbiaNormally, I love Toby's and I love Pirates of Penzance, but this production was impossible to hear clearly. The instruments overwhelmed the words and I could not understand anything the singers sung. The only time you could understand the words was if someone was singing alone and in Gilbert and Sullivan that is not usually the case. It was fairly disappointing. Since the food is always a bit blah there wasn't even that to help out with the evening. The performers, as always did the most enthusiastic best and it was not their fault that the show disappointed.

I was beginning to wonder if I would ever find a theater where it was part of the program of shows. It was so much better than the video/DVD version. I loved it!!!
