We had the best night ever at the Pino Daniele concert in the Howard Theater in Washington, D.C. The theater was small enough that you didn't need binoculars to see the stage, and the food and service was better than I had expected. But seeing Pino Daniele for the first time was an absolutely unforgettable experience!

The concert has been awesome! Very well choreographed, fanstastic musicians, especially the keyborader.... ;D Since I was not familiar with Pino's newer recordings, his bluesy-jazzy set was great. I just recently saw the movie 'Passione' and was reminded by Pino Daniele's singing of the rich culture of Napolitan songs - a potpourri of several cultures coming together in a melting pot. Since I speack some Italian, and thanks to the presence of so many Italians that came out for the concert, it felt like being in Italy! Che bello! What can I say? When I heard Pino sing I felt "come un gelato all'equatore"!!! :D
The set was long enough but not as good as I had expected. At certain points, it seemed as if it could have been anyone playing and singing rather than Pino Daniele.

I was enchanted - the venue is intimate and the sound quality is excellent -and Pino - I could listen to him forever. The band was very talented.

I really liked the show because I really like PIno. He is so diverse in this talents and sound. However, I'd like to shoot the sound engineer. The synthesizer was too predominant and that sound is cheesy. Pino has a great sound and would have been better without it, unplugged or with it toned down. L
