Ridding the world of piggy behavior!
Sammy Hamhock, a little pig, is excited to be on summer vacation and follow his Dad to work on Piggy Patrol, giving tickets for piggy behavior. But is his Dad being a piggy too? Will Sammy lose the girl of his dreams, the lovely Lacey Leppard, because of his Dad’s piggy behavior? Can Sammy teach his Dad not to be a piggy? Piggy Nation is a delightful musical featuring an original score with blues, rock, rap and gospel influences. Full of lessons in thoughtfulness and consideration, it’s an hour-long musical perfect for kids ages 3 and up (and their parents and grandparents too)!
This show has a very talented cast that gives the performance their all. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the show and so did the other adults I attended with. I would not be surprised if many of the actors in this performance go on to become well known on Broadway.
My 8 year old son, Connor, and I just returned from seeing Piggy Nation. He is very interested in acting and was begging to see a musical while we were in NYC. I looked on Google for kid-friendly shows that wouldn't bankrupt us and thought this story looked fun. The cast was great and we loved the songs so much that we bought the CD. After the show the entire cast signed my son's book and he got a picture with them. What an incredible experience for both of us. The message of being considerate of others was not lost on him either.
This cute ensemble performance held my little one's attention and was pretty amusing for the parents. This musical nicely distinguished itself from many of the kiddie shows out there. Also, while each of the actors had multiple roles, there was a cast greater than three. On the negative side, I think the costumes could have been a little more elaborate (in view of the fact PN is really geared towards younger children). Overall, a fun outing with my little one.
my granddaugh and her friend enjoy it very much. also it let adults see themselves as well. their ages are 5and 6.
I took my 5 and 7 year old to see this play. It was a fun off broadway production. The singing wasn't top notch but the show was fun with a lesson. It was just long enough to keep the kids attention. I would recommend.
We took our not yet 2 year old and 4 year old grandkids to see the show. THey sat still for the entire performance. The 2 year old of course loved the music and characters. Our 4 year old got the message and the humor. I would definitely recommend to others
After watching the performance I thought the tickets were a little on the costly side. Overall I did enjoy the show and my 4 year old niece was delighted. I would highly recommend this performance to young childern between the ages of 3-7 years of age. There definitely was a lesson for all to take away from this musicial.
We brought our 3 1/2 yr old son to see Piggy Nation. He absolutely loved it and we did too. It was such a great show. The cast was fantastic and the writing was superb!
Was a very nice experience for young children to be introduced to a theatre setting. My young grandson was very excited to be going & once there wanted it to go on. The cast was on hand after the performance greeting & takeing pictures with the children, also the author of the book "Piggy Nation" Richard Rosser was on hand to do book signings and meet with the children. Would do this type of show with my grandchildren again & again there should be much more of this available to us...Very glad when I spotted it online & purchased the ticket's for the very first performance, it was great.
