Festival 8 = Best Phish Festival since Conventry
by CaptainChicago on 3/3/10Empire Polo Club - IndioOH, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BUZZ! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BUZZ! Phish sounds so great with horns and female vocals. call me crazy but i think we witnessed a seminal moment in American rock music history when Phish reclaimed the album born through Englishmen who were channeling the music of the American south. Phish covered The Rolling Stones' "Exile on Main St" double album in its entirety in order from "Rocks Off" to "Soul Survivor" as their musical Halloween costume - AND THEY OWNED IT! "Loving Cup" was my favorite but "Torn and Frayed", "I Just Want to See His Face", and "Shine a Light" also stood out.
