    Entertaining Memorable Experience

by Nature Boy on 11/7/23Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

Peter Yarrow took the audience into the world of Peter, Paul, and Mary. He brought the audience along for the journey, encouraging them to sing-a-long.

    Great nostalgia event

by Rich on 11/7/23Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

As concerts go, Peter Yarrow and Noel Paul Stookey are 85 years old and visibly aged since they did concerts over 15 years ago when Mary Travers was still alive. They forgot a verse in, "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?"and showed other examples of senior moments. Peter has visible Parkinsons tremors. They played many songs that were not their big hits and were generic works of Woody Guthrie like, "This Land is Your Land"and campfire songs like "Down by the Riverside."The audience did almost as much of the singing as they did. Still, this reunion had their voices and guitar playing and antics that made us love them since they hit the charts in the early 1960's. It was great fun to see them one more time and remember what they gave us to love 60 years ago.

    Beautiful nostalgic evening.

by Leen on 11/6/23Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

We so enjoyed Peter. He had beautiful stories to go with the songs. He's quite an entertainer! Songs from the past are still relevant today. We love to see Peter and Paul.

    Wonderful to see them

by Van on 11/6/23Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

It was great to see them. Peter has visibly aged and appeared frail, but his wit, commitment to the better angels we should all aspire to, and his musicality was still on point. Paul was robust and it was a special privilege to hear him play the Wedding Song, which was sang at my wedding in 1975. He told a marvelous story about writing the song, which you will have to go to the concert to hear! Living history, great show .... go see them

    Concert was great but....

by Fan in Illinois on 11/6/23Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

Of course the concert was fabulous but the Ticketmaster part was terrible. Couldn't get app on my phone so usher directed us to the Box Office. The very helpful person there reassigned our seats--accessible for our wheelchair--and advised that next time skip the Ticketmaster fee and go directly to them. I will!!!

    Disappointing

by Jerry on 11/6/23Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

Peter’s Parkinsons is really showing. He may have a touch of Dimentia as well. We’ve seen him many times and even played guitar and sang Day Is Done with him in Toledo a couple of years ago. What a difference. His political rants go on and on; I’d rather hear him sing. 20 minutes of “We Shall Overcome” was a bit much.
