Tony Rice was a no show

by Surfanarchist on 11/14/11Gordon Center for Performing Arts - Owings Mills

Really it was a very solid bluegrasss show and would have been worth going to even if it was billed as Peter Rowen and the Traveling McCruary's Do the Music of Bill Monroe but that was not what it was billed. I went mainly to see Tony Rice and with out him I was left flat.

    Elizabeth Cook utterly rocks

by Pablopilot on 11/19/10B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

We were there for the opening act, Elizabeth Cook. I brought along some friends to hear her for the first time, and she did not disappoint! her songs are trenchant, touching and funny, sometimes at the same time. her voice rivals Loretta Lynn, only with a more ethereal quality that I find rootsier and more delicious, and she owns the stage with grace and comfort. See her!
