Beautiful facility and the tennis was enjoyable however we attended so we could see Pete and though advertised he did not play...no explanation, no appology just no show. Very disapointing!
While I was disappointed that I hadn't been informed of Sampras pulling out until I had reached the gate, I was pleasantly surprised with his replacement, Mark Philippousis. Not only was he very engaging and entertaining, his level of play was very high. Chang, Courier and Martin all delivered, as expected. All-in-all an enjoyable evening. In the future I would suggest a timely email to inform attendees of any changes to the roster.
There was not a lot of play. Pete Sampres was a no show. The tournament was still good; however $50.00 per ticket was high for the event. It should have been more like $25.00.
There was too much noise in the VIP tent with people talking when the players are actively playing. We could not even here the players joking around with eachother because of the constant noise. For food, all they were selling were hot dogs, bag of pretzels, and nachos without jalepenos. Overall, very disappointed considering the cost.
Was SO disappointed that Pete Sampras did not play. I didn't know that he was not going to play until another name was announced in his place at the tennis match. Disappointing!
